3/32 collie the rest running dog is to over bred an racey for a modern day hunting dog she done really well for me especially on big land on fast gear but the game changed?I wanted a little bit more a little bit smaller dog with a decent coat an a bit of terrier attitude as a out cross I think the collie base blood was stretched to the limits to what I already had what shall I call my dogs collie xs or bedlington xs 1/32 collie 1/4 bedlington wonder what would sell better if I was to breed for money ??. I made the right move by adding a decent bedlington greyhound to the mix it definitely clic

No,no,no my friend that’s got to Be a Burrell bred dog send Jeff the photo I’m sure he’ll be able to clarify the matter with the 800 yrs of breeding with a phone call just make sure you’ve a day free to speak to him

Pair I’ve got seems fine there not thick leather so the stitchings purpose is only for the velcro but still cheap think mine was only £10 delivered still cheaper than keep buying vet wrap all the time plus more economic an still cheaper than a vet bill or cheaper than having a dog lame at the beginning of the season??Looks are irrelevant if they do the job....what’s a tenner any way small price to pay if they do the trick

Just before the wrist an after there’s plenty of movement in them there design for racing dogs in mind the wrist bends freely mate
-
Did you fit them straps facing outside or facing inside because there handed a lot of people who fit them that have problems is when they fit them straps facing inside so when the dog runs they work loose I’ve made the mistake a few times .i used one bit of electrical tape just round the top just as a safety precaution so if they do come loose I won’t loose them the stopper pad stops them slipping down if that makes sense
-
Bit of electrical tape or vet tape round them job done I’ve had no problem lamping using them I know quite a few people who use them with racing dogs. A bit of creativity goes a long way black neck ??
-
There you go mate get on flee bay don’t be afraid to use them I’m sure the working dog world would be to proud to use them on there machines of a working dog I use a pair on my dogs soon as the crops have been cut just for that extra bit of protection does no harm in a little protection

The story tellers weekly ??Story’s to sell to idle gullible ears an eyes I struggle to take any one seriously when they mention the country mans weekly

Exactly that katch just a opinion with hopefully no hard feelings meant to no one All Lurchers have faults even my own??But there’s no argument of specialists bred dogs when there do the same as most Lurchers are expected to do but less any way yeah I understand that his dogs his rules bred for his needs I respect that but still think after there ready to get started there be on the merry go round as there no be what people are expecting from the dog not trying to be wise or a comedian or out just adding a honest opinion with no bull shit

This post is a strange one you either need a running dog or you don’t I personally think on most people’s land this is from a level headed point of view with no disrespect meant to cj there end up piss poor on most people’s land as catch dogs as I personally think you can’t rely on brain power An temperament alone to make catches from gear that’s fleeing for life you need a moderate turn of speed that can be used as an when needed plus there only get slower with age as a dog with a little more speed behind it will be more capable still but I can see the use if your only wanting a dog to mark u

That’s exactly the way I see it fella in modern times why limit your Sen but each to there own an all that

Yet your stupid enough to put pictures up of fox that’s clearly been taken by dogs ?? With a dog stood over it nice work ??(Probably the only one your dogs have taken that why you’ve got the picture to give your ego a little rub and to add to media when you want to try an doop people in to think your scouring the land and taking them left right an centre????) you can’t use the shot with guns line when your there trying to prove to the world of the hunting life your dogs worth to people as a point Like I said no picture didn’t happen! your a poo waffler fella if this 20hares happened but cl

How can it offend me I care not what other men/women have got or run it makes no difference to What I keep as what I keep suits me right to the ground but if I was the sensitive type I’d truely offered by this comment young man may the minshaw legend live on my friend an may the bear foot legend be started ??
-
I think the problem with this minshaw bred bullshit is everyone fantasises about the dogs of yesteryear an live off legends yeah they were probably good dogs back then when there was plenty of gear to run them at an lack of work available to most common country men so plenty of time out in the country but times were different and times change I see there’s a lot of old guys still wanking over the name minshaw lurcher but I still find it kind of ironic that all these guys give the impression they know a good dog they know there way round a dog an only keep good dogs yet don’t have a direct lin
-
You mean nonce shaw! This as killed me finding out the guy as the same amount of prey drive as the dogs he peddling under his brand name.
-
I used to see the minshaw name bummed around in the bull lurcher brigade a lot like they were some kind of special lurcher that only the real lurcher men could own like a farrari of the lurcher world lol but same said people always had there little brigade of little bummers bumming dogs up just before a litter was put on the ground ironically that the name minshaw get thrown around just as a litter was due An people thought they were buying in to something special but in reality they were just buying a lurcher no better bred than next mans bred bull x that wanted the pups off his hands soon a

Opinions on the Norfolk lurcher?
poxon replied to Daisy the destroyer's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I liked the replay by two crows about people not traveling to far be it dog, horse, canary each county had its own type I agree fella ??. It’s got me thinking more because people always say dogs back then were good real tough as old boots type that could fill the larder regular an kept it full but in modern times were hard pushed to keep continuous good dogs for the job it’s always hit an miss in modern times when one dogs carrer as ended getting the next pup to bring on to take the dogs place it’s got me thinking that county bred dogs being so close related had something to do with it almost li
