  1. Don’t think I could ever own a modern day f1 bedlington greyhound out of a kc stud seeing how the modern day kc bedlington is bred I wouldn’t want to take the risk to much variation in them nothing more than a Peddling racket bred for names from hole sniffers with a exception of a few being decent but not worth the risk in a f1 with the amount of fibs told far better to find a f1 bedlington greyhound that’s actually working well An putting in to another type Lurcher or long dog that’s working well
  2. Good on ya lad fair play ??I hate these peddling c**ts that drop dogs off they need a good kick in the bollox! In my eyes. I have little faith these days in all these lads/lasses of late getting in the dog game there fecking clueless on how to train an bring a dog on in the correct manner they give it they know this that an the other but know feck all an every things a despicable item dumb fucks. But you sir deserve extra rations in your next dooby fair play lad??
  3. Potassium permanganate is only £2.99 on flee bay delivered when I bought some either option is cheaper than the rip off vets when it’s probably the same tack they use
  4. Sound advice fella same as the vets would do but charge a bomb to do so
  5. Pretty big for a f1 mate ??Most f1 dogs top out at 22 an bitches 20-21 you’ve done well there sir should be handy at 23 ??At fella
  6. Hahaha ??????think many a boys hopes An dreams have been destroyed by reading such books or listening to quotes from such books that someone’s given them. they get there dog thinking there going to be the best thing since sliced bread i personally think that’s why so many dogs on the merry go round dogs owned by dreamers an easily miss lead an not realistic thinkers
  7. Mine don’t get no rate ?? there either work or they don’t it’s that simple
  8. I’ve had similar experiences with Morrison’s nappy sacks as dog shit bags apply to much pressure An your hands in the shit ??
  9. I think it’s like most Lurcher books you read one you’ve read them all far better to have your own experiences than read of a mans tails in the field I mean after reading of wonder dogs it always makes you think your own dogs are of second rate in comparison when in fact there of the same calibre as the dogs writen about but just not glamorised up in a book to help sell it
  10. Oh shit I forgot that I meant it’s all real it really happened the dogs are ? better than what any Meer amortal owners have forgotten my self for a moment there....???
  11. Yes mate when it first come out I borrowed it. It’s a alright read but like all books you get that feeling that some of its bull shit from over excited owners to help sell a book but good reading material if you don’t take it all as gospel
  12. Your odds are still the same with breeding a f1 or buying one in but if you breed you have the hassle of homing pups an what you plan on doing with the greyhound after if your only after a bedlington greyhound you may as well wait it out. There’s a guy in Warwickshire that’s a breeder of f1 bedlington greyhounds out of Irish greyhound bitches an uses a pretty handy bedlington as his stud that produced some handy dogs work/pet/race pm me An I’ll drop you his details
  13. Piss take ain’t it just for wormers they want a £34 consultation fee per dog before they give you wormers an then there only give 2 per dog it’s a joke if you feed raw an want your dog wormed regular I started buying in bulk from cox an robins pharmacy as they do pet wormers I buy 50 a time with another chap the more you buy the cheaper they are cheap as chips ??
  14. Fecking hell ray some vets take the piss least you found the problem An sorted it although £80 lighter on the pocket least you got some pain relief an antibiotics
  15. Same as me fella never took a older dog on I’d rather bring a pup on but some times you just have that feeling in ya head that you could make a useful dog out of a dog that’s not been used much ya start wondering of possibilities an what could be but cancel them out as just thoughts
  16. Should of took the dog on mate an found out what it was about see if it had any thing about it with a bit of time an getting it behind some gear
  17. They were used on anything my mates dad was telling me back in the day if it moved the cross would work it as you didn’t have like we have today dogs for set jobs as not many people could afford to keep more than 1or2 dogs
  18. Like hens teeth these days there’s not much all for the use of them
  19. I’ve heard that if you don’t speak the gaulic tong northern lights not interested An his Scottish ears can’t understand any other spoken language I’ve also heard he’s directed descendant is William Wallis
  20. Think your right mate it’s the only way to get through to some of these young uns If you try an help them or give sound advice genuinely they get the hump any way it goes on deaf ears An spit there dummy’s out by taking offence so a bit of winding them up will go a long way to broaden there backs a little to life
  21. Good luck with that fella be like trying to find a needle in a hay stack or trying to find hens teeth took me well over a year to find a bedlington greyhound stud dog that was the real deal an that was through another guy in the end that knows exactly what I wanted an not just talked up to get a pimping. I found nearly all bedlington greyhound owners with a stud dog chat shit of how good the dog is with only rossets to prove a dogs worth as stud An wouldn’t show the dogs worth but demanded a premium for the use of it when I put a add up that I was looking for a stud bedlington greyhound I got
  22. I personally think line bred or not makes little to no difference long as it’s genuine worker to work from proven workers from experience dogs that have a good number of seasons under them the same results can be add I personally like the racer type for my needs so the sight hound blood percentage always has to be slightly higher than base blood in there I think a good handler is the key to most good dogs for the owner to get the best he can out the dog
  23. Bit of all really fella ground, train ability an knowing the type An there ability.deerhound greyhounds back then were a popular working xs
