    All I would say is please don't believe that piece of paper you get from the kennel club is any guarantee that your dog is a cocker or springer when it could well be a sprocker

    given that originally cockers and springers could come from the same litter and where only determined by weight is a sprocker really a mix? I have seen many springers that fall into the breed standard of cocker and vice versa to my mind the kc has forgotten why the breed standards where introduced the shame is that the kc are the only European breed register that do not insist on working certification for the dog before it is allowed to breed and because of this I feel that there credibility as a judge of breed standard is compromised also the system is so open to abuse that many so called kc

    Yeah I agree, depends a bit on the owner though, I wont let a dog from my line go to anyone else that doesn't understand that it hasn't made the grade and it's never bred from unfortunately some people will give that guarantee then the next minute it's had a litter much better to chap it and know your line won't be bastardised

    Why should the yellow lab owner discard his dog? It'll just need it's confidence building with training. That may even have been it's first ever attempt at a water retrieve especially one further out than it's master can throw a dummy.     yes your probably right I would say goshawk as adult pheasants normaly a bit big and strong for sparrowhawk and buzzard this time of year Hen Sparrowhawk would be quite capable of killing, but not carrying off. That was my thoughts when it appeared the birds were left where they were, and there's not that much seems to have been eaten. If thats a mature hen pheasant then its not a spar......Probably been a buzzard? Normally start on the breast in my experiance....?....Its a mystery... Got a Sparrowhawk taking them now. Doing exact same thing as looks like in the pic, dropping
