How do you keep your dogs energy levels up?
danw replied to stroller's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
No amount of feeding or fancy drinks or adatives will make up for a lack of fitness and the simple fact is most folks don't excersise their dogs anywhere near enough to replicate a full day in the feild they then wonder why the dog jibs -

9mm then and now..still.. may be wrong!! The difference between 9mm and 38 is 0.002 of an inch I reckon that might take some measuring after it was used

I agree pretty much education a change in societys perception of guns which films glamorise far to much and tighter restrictions on age limits for violent computer games would all help but i dont think any more guns need banning far better to ban unsuitable people with tighter licencing criteria

Plenty of terrier men, hunt staff, stalkers, keepers and slaughter men use handguns everyday as tools of their trade how is a pistol any more dangerous than say a 12 shot shotgun or a 25 shot semi auto ruger 10, 22?

We're not talking heavy pressure work, we're talking Lurchers. Saying that I know of a man that has a 90lb 1/2 x Bull/Greyhound and that likes the sleeve and I'm sure that would take some stopping A dog that bites a sleeve isn't a pp dog, a pp dog is one that can take heavy pressure. Otherwise its just a sport dog. abselutly i,ve seen very good sch dogs put under real pressure and they have run for the hills thems sports dogs not manstoppers And I've seen men that would run a mile if a Russell were to come at them . I Think we're hamming this up a bit. It is going

not going to get into a silly argument pal but if I was a burgular and you had something I wanted, with a bat in hand I would fancy my chances.....put a GSD/Rottie or whatever in there and I'd look for an easier target, simple as that lad as trains mine was telling me the other day that scrotes are wise to yard dogs they wear a sleeve jump the fence and let the dog bite the sleeve then stick it with a knife game over for pooch no mater how good it was I would guess most would just find somewhere that doesn't have a guard dog though? they are simply at deterrent, as was said ear

you've seen collies trained as protection dogs? or just the nervy, nasty, snappy types? I wouldn't want that trait in any dog, not a chance!! some of the collies I've seen are proper unpredictable, they're sort of half cowering and you never know when the fookin things are going to snap. No, not seen Collies trained a PPD, just one's that were not afraid to bite. If you look on Youtube there are Boxers, Labs and all sorts of trained biters. There is a fellow that I've used for training bite work, that has Springer trained to the sleeve and it's a proper maniac. half of being

Rubbish Yours must have been faulty mate, beleive me, they are better than Burris, And as for second hand £500 will buy a good zoom 50mm Meopta, ,, find me a zoom 50mm Swaro for that cash bud, preferably one that isn`t 25 yrs old and been on some hill stalkers rifle dragged through the countryside. A Meopta Artemis 7x50 can be had for £200 The one i looked through when i returned it must have been faulty too then, Meoptas and duralyts most overrated scopes ever. Just as good as German glass, like f**k. Aren't duralyts made by zeiss in germany?
