I use swarovski 3-12x50pv on all my work rifles and they take it in their stride being knocked about on the quad and in the landy all day every day for the last 10 years is a hell of a test, though I often check zero its very rare they need adjustment and they cost a lot less than 2k

I would advise the lad to get round every game farm he can now for next years season not only will he gain experience rearing but he will get contacts and for sure in this game it is who you know as was said above most jobs won't be advertised so it is up to him to put in the leg work. Rubytex hope you get back full time mate do you have anything lined up? -

This i've just got to get round to the college bit, there's lads coming straight outta college getting work but if you don't have that magical piece of paper, you're fecked no matter how much you've done f*****g crazy aint it I would and always did take lads with experience over college I know it's a generalisation but I worked on the theory that a lad with experience already knows how hard the job really is where as a college lad usually has the idea that the jobs a piece of piss and that they should get a headkeepers job straight from school LOL ask any lad as went to college how -

interesting thread I find it funny that those folk that change from a cz to annie/sako never say god I wish i'd kept the cz instead having had all 3 of the above and still have a 1417 I prefered the annie recently I bought a buckmark for my kids had the barrel chopped to 12" and now the annie never leaves the cabinet but my little buckmark comes to work everyday and the kids have lost their gun LOL

well i find it more simple during the day as you dont get lampshy foxes, or you dont have the lamp waving around, it just seems that the fox is more wary in the dark? and ive only just started lamping, its probably just me lol. i like the .222 and would more than happily take a shot at a fox at 2-300 yards in still conditions, but thats just it. only in 'still' i never shoot at that range in windy conditions as the bullet is only light, this is where i think a .243 would come in, with the heavier bullet? what do you think? Aye thinking about it on windy nights I do pick up the 25-06 b

They did "give" him a day.....doesn't matter how much money you have you get a day thats available. He is also a half gun joining in with another group, he's not taking a full day himself. Again i said its been handled very badly by the keeper for reasons we do not know but the facts are he was given a day(said so himself) and he never went. He should have went and discussed this name changing shite on the day. He never done that and now looks like he is struggling for a day. just being picky but he didnt' mention the keeper at all chances are it's a shoot captain and nowt to do with t

Tim if you,ve been shooting fox for a long time why do you think that shooting them in the dark would be any different and require a different gun? funny thing really I use a rifle every day for work have numerouse large calibres and yet still take the .222 everywhere only time anything bigger comes out is for deer.

simplest method to stop big flushes is to make damned sure every beater with a dog has a lead and uses it other than that as above. Whats one of them.......must be a spaniel owners equipment?.... LOL usually I get the beaters to borrow the picker ups leads they always have spares

you sure on that? emtryl is an antibiotic , but thanks for the guess lol LOL another guess then the active ingredient in emtryl is dimetridazole great for protazoan infection and fantastic at curing blackhead which it was designed for but definatly no an antibiotic

Oh id be quite happy at a months extension mate if that was on offer........i was kind off just replying to the debate on here... no having a go mate I for 1 would be all for extending the season till end of feb whether to shoot or just catch up I just don't beleive we need to stop shooting pheasant in october cause some shoots can't manage to produce mature birds Theres no such thing as not being able to produce mature birds though mate is there....if you get them early
