    I often wonder just how folks get on first we range find the animal then work out the drop and adjust the scope then dope the wind then awwwwwww f**k its gone lol For me its quite simple identify what you consider your maximum distance you can accurately shoot to then zero the rifle at the distance which gives the flattest trajectory to you maximum range

    Aye I never thought of it like that, funny thing is I now get more satisfaction and enjoyment from providing the sport on a shoot day than I ever have from using a gun though that could just be cause I'm getting older lol

    If we are honest,dont we all combine the two?If I was a keeper, going out on a night to shoot foxes,I would still enjoy the sport,as a pose to lets say the man setting off for his night shift at a warehouse for instance. I can guarantee if you where a keeper you would soon find foxing a chore when you have to instead of want to go out it just don't hold the same appeal especially after putting in dawn till dusk 7 days a week chasing f***ing pheasants

    Most of this is just plain bollocks the increase in deer numbers is since folks found they could take people out stalking and charge them daft money or lease out land to cull what where once vermin aint nothing to do with lads and dogs but its all about the dollar

    Bh thats no such an easy question as would appear and since I make my living from just that it will be hard not to look a hypocrite, I don't have a problem with hunting for sport if the ground requires the animal being hunted to be controlled makes no difference to me be it gun or dog . So not to look hypocritical I should say that I don't consider driven game hunting lol

To me its as bad as those that believe smacking the odd fox will somehow save ground nesting birds they then fail to address any other predator or make environmental change. I guess there will always be those of us that see the bigger picture and there will always be those who just can't or won't.

    But for some it is a new sport they watch a few dvd read a couple of the shooting comics and think there the f***ing warrener fact is plenty of land don't need fox control at all yet they still feel the need to smack every fox that dare poke its head up. At the end of the day though its up to each persons concience I wont spare a fox but then thats my job others however hide behind some bullshite pretence of pest control and concervation to excuse there actions.

    I asked mate cause to be honest without either some real experience or college the chances of getting a full time keepering job are next to nothing with so many lads wanting a career in keeping you really have stand out from all the others I know for jobs that are piss poor that still had hundreds of applicants and many with years of experience, the job market is hard for keepers with many about to feel the pinch next year with rising food and poult costs causing yet more to fold.     The coat is only a good idea if your going to be beside the dog when it jumps fences...what happens if your dog is on a runner and it gets to a fence, does it give up or wait 5 mins till you get there with a coat....ATB.. Train the dog to take its own coat lol
