Nah mate haven't taken any one out the comp seemed to die a death not sure why I only put up the prize didnt' get involved with organising it and as far as I am concerned the prize still stands and is still to be won but to be honest it should have been started in general talk or the photo section so that all off the site could take part, may be pm and ask gurtwurz it was his comp

Did you start your Maize under plastic?? - Just wonderin cos with the summers were getting I think its the only hope of a half decent result later in the year. would take alot of plastic to do most keepers maize pal.. wish i had fenced mine in as some kind kunt has driven a few of my fields and maize.. I thought there have been a few silly posts on this thread but this one takes the biscuit :laugh: In your little world have you never seen or heard any of the above So any kid getting into the game shouldnt bother because he has nowhere to go? the future will be grim for our sport if all kids threw the towel in for this reason So hare coursing was banned because it was attracting the wrong sort of participants? .............. I think you have misunderstood the lads enthusiasm Lurch, The enthusiasm is for the dog not the killing/hunting He just loves this dog to bits and wants to do right by him. Personally i cannot see the point in him getting another dog just yet, he doesn't even properly know what hunting is and all it entails. He has just been mooching in nice fine weather with his little dog up to now. I'd say let him learn with this little dog, which i think might be all he needs in a dog and more from the sound of him fair enough moll..... if i send you my number can we have a chat aswell as my dogs

I should have also added that it isn,t just dog lads as get the no for every lad with a dog there must be 10 with one of they toy air guns turn up dressed in a ghillie suit,or with a new foxing gun and a landy fit for the paris dakar and more lights than blackpool or just some messer with a 12 wanting to shoot pigeons next to a release pen. -

why do folks think that you get knocked back by keepers for permission simple fact is that not 1 week goes by without some one knocking my door (usually as I just sit down to my tea at last)or sending a letter or poking a f*****g business card through the door offering to sort the rabbits/fox/deer what ever for free it gets real f*****g old real quick I can tell you very rare does any one knock the door and ask if I need a hand feeding or strawing up or any of the shite jobs yes beating gets you a way in but think on this most shoots will already have 30 plus beaters and 10 plus pickers up wan -

Hi what permanent covers have you planted .Wolfie we planted areas of snowberry,dogwood,gorse,blackthorn,lonicera and hazel then followed it with rows of canary grass,artichoke and chicory.though the areas of chicory and canary grass need renewing occasionally. Would any of these be suitable for planting in a hardwood to try and hold birds it needs cover in the winter months Not sure about gorse but the rest would be ok just have to watch the snowberry and lonicera though cause they are quite invasive but if managed would be fine
