i bred a litter of first x saluki greyhounds coming up a year old now will try to get some pictures up of the 3 we kept for ourselves .

Many people on here run a 1st cross deerhound greyhound.

had a very good first cross bitch on rabbits and hares day and night in feild or fen but would not go near the big stuff but cracking bitch on hares . -
bred a litter out of my greyhound bitch who had never had a season so vet gave her a course of injections over 6 days and she broke down within a month .

helluva run by a helluva dog one of the top cousing dogs ever why do people always have to slag great dogs off lucky didnt have nothing to prove to anyone .everyone that saw him course knew they were watching a great dog.the dog locked on like a exocet missile behind his hares untill the time was right amazing how he seemed to make the hare go where he wanted it even when he wasnt pressurising it hard .imo one of the top coursing dogs ever .along with a few others

to right inan great days and great craic i was up our old stomping ground last week with s cracking day .be great if we meet up for odd day out next season .

i was out with mac a few years back and rambo killed 8 single handed and plenty of people saw it as it was a club day and there were about 16 of us out . the following week rambos full sister killed 7 if my memory serves me right and plenty saw that as well .rambo was the best goalkeeper ive seen and could stop them on the spot my mate got him now at stud mac gave him to him and has a pup out of him now and again .

back in the seventies i packed a job in to go on the nat king cole and run the dogs flat out and was a lot better off than i was in work. i was married with 2 young uns and the money off the dogs was much appreciated and needed me and a mate who is a member on here were out every chance we got and those dogs were well fit. ime more in to the long ears now but back then i was living the life and running the dogs flat out sometimes to much if the truth be known but the money didnt half come in handy and it was a lot more enjoyable than shifts in a factory .

i know dixies owner real nice bloke also know the old guy he bought him off real gent and dixie is was one real smart lurcher who won loads showing and racing . but as i said legends in the lurcher world are made in the feild not the summer shows and yes he did win a greyhound race at bedwellty and no one can take that from him .but gotta say it was bottom heat scrubbing race where a lot of lurchers could win and the greyhounds are the lowest of the low and poor examples of their breed.and believe me that dog didnt see enough game to call it a working dog but not knocking it for that it was

ring summerhill vets in newport tel no 01633255394and ask for appointment with jean you might have to wait a few days as she only works part time but excellent vet with running dogs .dont let them persuade you to see any of the other vets in the practice though.

and floyd wasnt the best high jumper in wales at the time either cos my bitch gemma was beardie xborder back to greyhound she beat the then british high jump fecord held on the downs in bristol her and a rough dog called murphy both broke the record that day and held it for quite a while.not knocking floyd in any way though cos he was a cracking dog as was dixie but best dog to come out of wales biggest load of bollox ive heard .and legends are made in the feild in my book not on the show ground .

folks beware using 141 i got caught a few years ago when the hunting ban was coming into force and had the old bill at the house they can trace numbers even using 141 before it i was very lucky to get away with what i did and i mean very lucky so be beware .

floyd and dixie both very nice dogs but their reputation was in the show ring and racing not out in the feild. no both the owners real nice blokes
