    i know this comes up now and again but is anybody else finding rabbits hard to come by. been out last twice and hardly any rabbits about even where there are usually plenty around if your prepared to have a drive about. mind you my present dogs are used for the longears not rabbits and are useless on the lamp anyway. but still nice to get them a few runs now and again.

    always used a lr6 or lr9 brilliant lamps at the time and was always on the lookout for something to make a better handle for them .we used micro switches never let you down .mind you the batteries in them days were a pain on you and your clothes. first lamp i ever purchased was blue eye but scared to take it in case we got caught lol. plus they were a bit top heavy if my memory serves me right.tbh the striker and blitz take some beating in my opinion if you sort the wiring out as soon as you get them.we all moan about them but i bet their still the most used and popular lamp on the market.jus

    phobia is frogs fear is one of the family getting really ill freaks me out big time .

    their condition looked to improved but as i said the times didnt improve and nothing wrong with giving your dogs vitamins and additives as long as its the right ones and in the right order good food kenneling and the right excersice is the main thing but when your looking for that bit extra for competition or to give them the edge then every little helps .

    facebook the hunting life and all the other forums is there anyone vague enough to think that the antis and otheres who want to stop or intefere with our sport do not come on these sites thats why when people asking others to put up photos its always better to air on the side of caution .and not give them the ammo to feed their need to spoil our way of life .

    i use to use it on the greyhounds didnt notice any differance in their times but their coats and general demeanor was certainly better .really perked them up .

    at the moment there are ways and means around the ban just make sure we dont hope for something we dont want ie the loopholes closed .

    had them all my life always a running dog of some sort in the house since i was a baby growing up with my grandparents.now 57 and still got 3 and out every chance iget and travel all over the country to run them still the same buzz now even after all these yearslater .

    just looked on midlands facebook loads of photos on there on every aspect of the gamefair and country sports but hey guess what no lurchers or terrier photographs forgotton again.its a joke.

    one of the biggest old wives tales out there..the quarry couldnt care what colour the dog is thats trying to catch it .mind you years ago a white pup was hellish to get rid of. if someones near enough to see what colour your dog is in the night they have allready seen you way before .

    thomps if everyone outside the ring was judging there would be a lot of differant winners. its a lot differant when your handling and examining the dogs yourself and with the class of dog that the majority in that ring was there was not much to choose between winners and losers .but the winner is a class little lurcher in fit hard condition. and on the day 2 judges thought it was worthy of champion of champions. so well done to the dog and its owner .

    tbh i think most lurcherfolk think along the same lines but theres always a few looking for something to moan about same in life in general .but never understand what people got against the shows and racing .anything that promotes lurchers and lurcherwork as got to be for the good long term.and if anyone is that against them why bother going to them or moaning about them after .as long as the lurcher is looked after and cared for who gives a monkeys cuss what they do with it .

    i run with paddy twice a week throughout the winter and believe me he is not afraid to speak his mind to anyone .both him and the tracy allan has been in contact with the owner concerned and he has categorically denied any wrongdoing or cheating. and paddy says his tel no is common knowledge its in the countrymans most weeks so if anyone knows how he is supposed to do anything about it to give him a ring anytime they want.so whistleblower if y ou have proof or evidence give paddy a ring because he wants to sort this out as soon as possible {footnote}imo the coursing crew run a tight ship as fa
