If i'm lamping on fair ground, where i'm slipping expecting a run, i'd want the dog for the most part, catching more than 50% of what it runs. They all get bad luck, but a decent lamp dog on fair ground (not real hard, not piss easy). . . . . i'd expect 60/70 % of what it gets up on, being caught.
