  3. Well I'd be doing the same..........pity I haven't got a clue who the landowners are Nice gesture that artic  I'd sort mine out but there are a lot of them. . . . . and what do you get for a man who lives in a castle?
  4. Why not put a grew to a bull, then back to a grew or something? Best of both worlds.

  7. Is it not pretty bad up there this year after the hard winter just gone? I seem to remember him saying something about having to take it easy this season?
  8. So we can expect some decent bags before xmas then? I'd like to see the pics. . . . . . .
  9. Maybe try knocking them on the head with a priest, some people find this easier. When ferreting i tend to grab them by the body and give them one quick chop at the neck, as its easier to do this than stretch a neck in the net.
  10. Just wanted to wish a very Happy Birthday to Jonnyboy68 and his missus! A great guy, who really knows his dogs and ferrets and is a pleasure to hunt with and an equally great woman!
  11. youve been out with 3/4 dogs who started that age.....did they look f****d to you? No they are excellent dogs. I agree fully with taking young dogs out to learn and experiance, watch older dogs and get a feel. There is a lot to learn. But just dont think i would go out lamping with just a 12 week old pup and a lamp and plan to run game. I guess it also depends on the individual dog. Thats where common sence comes into it.....your not going to catch anything with just a 12 weeks old pup ....but they do learn going out with older dogs taking them out young ,even if its just getting

  13. totaly agree with you mate, but seen plenty kennel set ups on here without a run so was fishing for ideas cheers for that Its difficult without seeing it, but what i'd probably do if i wanted what you wanted is to cut some kind of decent sized sky light in the roof and use a decent grade mesh for security and a sheet of perspex over/under the mesh. You could make the perspex removable if you wanted to leave it open for some fresh air, just make sure its not over the bed area. Then make bench beds, up off the floor, out of wood, with some kind of mat/rug on it. I'd leave the floor co
  14. Alright matey, thing about the shed is lack of sunlight. It really does make a difference, them not being able to lie out in the sunlight during the day. You could try some kind of sky light? Maybe with a mesh over it?
  15. Does someone want to put up some photos of 12 week old pups, cos i might be wrong but when i think of a 12 week old pup i'm thinking of the age where they are still acting like babies and running into chair legs etc.
  16. Gets the dogs out looking if you have them.
  17. before you give anyone advice make sure you know what you are talking about, spend 10 minutes and find out how far you are off the mark I'm not arguing against taking a dog out mate and showing it a bit and letting it experiance the life, there is a lot to learn. I just meant i wouldnt go out for a nights lamping armed with a lamp and a 12 week old pup How you feeling now mate, fully mended? All the best to you and the family for christmas

  20. And as she goes for it with her puppy teeth and puppy ways and it legs it and she chases it across a field geting left for dust and blowing herself and generally getting demorilised. . . . . wise. No different than taking said puppy for a walk and a bunny gets up in front of it in the day Fair point, but at 3 month (remember big difference between 3 and say 4.5 month), if its out for a walk its not 'hunting' that much, theres a chance it might get up to one but its probably not going to get much of a chase, but slipping it on rabbits in the middle of a field is only going to le
