  1. Just to add another things that grinds my gears - like artic said - unsuitable dogs - the wee women who has the sheep killers for some reason decided that alsation, bull mastiff and rottie x's where a good selection of dogs to get for a woman who couldnt hold into a butterfly and has about as much commanding presence as a prawn.
  2. Did i tell you i met those women? What a f*****g joke! Tried ferreting and gave up after first two rabbits just bounced off frozen nets after about an hour of playing kiss chase with the stinkers I'll swap houses with you Hmmmmmmm. . . . . if only you were my neighbour! Hows snow your end? I need to escape here!
  3. I thought that too when I googled it  Isn't it a american thing about dangerous dogs??????? http://stopbsl.com/ Yup Its Breed Specific Legislation and basiclly a form of eugenics in dogs. I agree with robo-christ in many respects buuuuuuut to be honest i think some dogs ARE or rather have the potential to be more dangerous than others due to their breed, now they could still be kept by many folk with no problems.. . . .. buuuuuut given the number of total f*****g morons that are really turned on by these specific dogs and what they can do - i dont think leaving it to

  5. It's just this idea that folk have like ' oh lets get a dog' just cos they live in the country or like to go for walks etc and have no interest in training the f*****g beast, even to the most basic level.
  6. He takes his hob lamping And fishing? Now thats a f*****g all rounder!
  7. Whats your problem with the deaf?
  8. So this is a bit of a rant and i'm bound to get some flak but who cares! It seems these days that almost on a daily basis i cross paths with a person/people who posses either a child/children or a dog/dogs that they shouldnt have, or both. When i say 'shouldnt have' i mean that they have no idea or ability to bring it up properly and dont have any control of it. Lets just focus on the dogs (although its all applicable to the children to), twice in the last week or so we have had sheep attacks, first time 5 dead and the rest of the flock pushed into a freezing stream, it happened at night and n
  9. Your dogs learnt to walk on two legs?
  10. Ferrets canot digest lactose, so goats milk is far better than cows
  11. f*****g snow. Just back from shooting, off ferreting.

  12. BIG f*****g HOLES. . . . .. dead giveaway.
  13. Mine are pretty happy with any one who handles them well but they definatly know me apart from others and will head to me if they surface.
  14. I see what your saying but the greyhounds the speed input. sure they dont work as such but most track greyhonds are strong and game and if you got a hurdle dog thats a bit nasty and firey im sure hed over welm a dog fox with ease. Thats a fair point. I suppose its like saying why do we have whippets when we have greys? They are two similar but different dogs and there are differences other than the size! what differences in your opinion ? I honestly believe that the average working (i.e worked and from workers) whippet has more brains than a track or coursing grey. Whippe

  16. While i agree with a lot of what you say with regard to size etc difference between beddyxgreys and beddyxwhippets and that the bigger dog will be a more versatile animal i find it interesting that no one has mentioned the practicalities of breeding. If your going to breed a first x beddy x litter its going to be hard enough to find a good working beddy let alone a good working grey on top, whereas there are plenty of folk working whippets and some very good whippets about, so it makes some sense that folk use whippets when they are trying to breed heart and balls through worker x worker matin
  17. So i was having a read of the above two sections - would it not be easier if every member could have an automatic 'hunting wanted' post on there, as thats how its going. It's like the 'hunting share' section which only ever filled up with 'hunting/permission wanted' posts. Because its O so likely that many a farmer will be surfing this hunting site looking to invite random folk to come and hunt their land. . . . . .
  18. PLenty of terriers are used for rabbiting. Like the man said i wouldnt go sending her down holes especially without a collar, after rabbits as its just gonna end in a pain in the ass. Stop her going down and get her in sight/smell of some rabbits and she will soon get the idea.
  19. You speak a lot of sense, blended with some very arrogant sounding bullshit! Why is using a terrier for rabbiting a 'no no' and why would a terrier marking holes or catching rabbits be 'retarded'. Are you trying to suggest that russels dont make decent rabbiting dogs?
  20. RACISISM!!! I just choked on my f*****g kit kat.
