  5. If your serious about getting a lurcher and meet the criteria.........I'll gift you a pup out of a litter I'm planning in about 6 months. You seem like a level-headed lad asking the right questions and taking advice on board The offers there and like you said your not wanting one straight away so time to think and decide........ Better offer than you know, that one. Ducky Poo - Scrawny/Show bred/Shite?  Only bit that's true is that generally they are over priced.
  6. Polecat = polecat color (black mask). Greyhound - highly debated in existence but generally agreed to be long, lean, roached back and generally albino.
  7. Not being a dick mate, but do you have any idea what being a game keeper involves? Edited to add - beautiful looking land tho, if you've got the ferreting there, your onto a winner!
  8. If you watch it all the way through. . . . . could be a major problem for retrieveing foxes with dogs.
  9. Worst case scenario, go find yourself a small (very small) set in the open, where you know there is a bunny or two, take a shovel and some red bull, put ferret in (start early morning), and hopefully bolt rabbit into net and celebrate as hob trundles out. If not, first wait, squeek, listen at holes etc etc etc, and if that fails drink red bull and dig a really big f*****g hole, really carefully. Then go home for tea.
  10. Hope your mrs and baby are ok matey! I had a slow day as well. . . . just a lot of hassle.
  11. If your just feeding rabbit they need the odd bit of offal for a complete diet. As minging as it may be. . . .
  12. Well done mate, nice team of dogs there, the springer looks in good nick for 15 yrs
  13. Nightmare today, wasting time with ferrets hunting and killing hoppers, jumping through the nets and back down, while mum was trying to fight ferrets off. Anyone who tries to use ferreting in summer as pest control needs their head read.
  14. If fresh i chuck it in as is and its all gone by nightfall/day break. If i'm freezing them i pull the intestines and bladder out - leave, heart, kidneys etc.
  15. Meat. If your desperate go into the nearest store and by some cheap chicken/turkey wings, legs, thighs, whatever.
  16. Start by asking, you never know! If not then i guess you either need to snare/shoot/longnet them, or the course needs to install rabbit fencing.
  17. No offence but Hancock has a REALLY f*****g BAD REP! And for a good reason.
  18. Yep. Later in the year. One i posted about before. South wales area but likely stud in ireland. SHould make TOP dogs, the time and effort has been put in on bother sides.
  19. Feet. Dying for an excuse to use the LWB quad. 60/6 mph.
  20. I stop when it starts becoming a pain in the ass with regard to little uns/cover. Different spots, different times.
  21. You be best off getting a small private/pirate pack in to do the job. Less fuss, more efficient. Gun pack with terriers etc.
  22. Mate, lots of pakistani folk were going to and running dogs at the Waterloo cup. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IaEzF99jFQ
