  1. I think you get confused mate. What folk are trying to say is that although the jill may come in to season twice a year, that is not natural (although it may be occuring naturally). The jill is made to have one litter a year max, and even then, its a struggle for them and really drains their body. Now if you have a jill that is wierdly coming into season twice a year, is it really fair to breed her twice? Meaning that in the year she spends 84 days pregnant? And probably 10 weeks min raising kits. So that makes it about 5.5-6 months of her year she is either in kit or raising kits, and the res
  2. Opinel and a Mora do me and both can be chucked and replaced for under 20 (for both).
  3. a dead one I was just wondering wild or domestic. . . . . . out of curiosity
  4. Why would any hunting man be married to an anti anyway? There is a difference between an anti and say a daughter/wife who doesnt like the idea/sight of animals actually being killed. I mean, i am no anti, and none of my family are, but still my mum would probably be a wee bit upset if someone showed her a bunch of close up pics of a dog killing a fox. Either way i just think its cowardly and sick to target someones family. Don't get me wrong, I've no sympathy with these idiots, and agree that their tactics are cowardly and that they'll stoop to any low to get their way.
  5. Also very partial to a black and green. I do love buzzers - you get some great takes.

Bit of a f****r to carry about though if your on foot! Tend to just rely on the mutts. I've done a few of those containers, its always funny to watch the rabbits trying to dodge the ferret above ground. without leaving the saftey of the container. I

I don't see the point. Don't you just feel a sham? I mean it's impressive to get to the peak of your physical capabilities, thats an achievement. Being a pill popping roid head just makes you desperate. If all you got going in your life is your muscles, and thats more important than your health etc, then go ahead. . . . . but thats pretty f*****g sad.

  11. Oz mate. I always wanted to see someone using a bolt trap as i've never figured out the use/point? You fancy filling me in?
  12. He is a lot less likely to have nightmares about death, guts and stuff like that if its just treated as a normal part of the natural world around him. And lets face it, he was doing something with his dad so i'm sure he felt safe as houses and happy as. Don't think he will have associated anything scary with it. Sounds like you got a cracker there mate.
  13. Aye mate, i got a couple of barns and an old hawk mews which are indoor, and a few gardens. One permission has a proper castle on it, but there are no warrens there which is a shame as it would make a nice back drop.
  14. Teach it to hold the dummy on the command "hold" by placing the dummy in its mouth and gently hold it shut, saying hold, keep doing this until it holds on command it works, then when retrieving as it comes in say hold, until you are ready to take it off it and use another command for release, dead or ta, whatever. Good luck. With really tough cases you could also try a swap tactic with a piece of meat or treat, so use the good boy/retrieve etc and then take dummy in hand, say dead or whatever and produce the meat with the other, if the dog wants the meat he has to let go of the dummy
  15. Aye, it'd be pure carnage, they'd have to stick to some paying yank hunting tourists, the lurcher lads would eat them alive.
  16. Very nice Interesting snout on the pup?
  17. Where in west wales? Best to leave the bunnies alone with the ferrets from when you start seeing the land wake up, until it starts to go to sleep again, whenever that may be. Mainly because it becomes a proper clusterfuck trying to ferret fluffy hoppers.
  18. Does anyone ferret any unusual / interesting places? Not that fascinating, but i added a Garden Centre, Playing fields and Flood defence system to my list today. And was just wondering if anyone did / has done, any unusual/different permissions or even just sets/patches? Pics would be great.
  19. What they said - if your just wanting a kit, then start looking now for someone with a cracking litter of silvers/some silvers and pick up a kit there. That way, you want have all the hassle of raising/getting rid of the dozen extra kits, and avoid any possible problems with pregnancy/birth. I'd only breed if you specifically want to reproduce that line. But like has been said, its your call, crack on. And as RA says, your kiddies want silver cos thats what they have/see, you wait till they see a cuddly polecat looking like a wee bandit, or a nice sandy, or cheeky albino, they will want them
  20. "Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer" thats how the saying goes. Maybe having a sticky explaining the function of the SEARCH BUTTON might be a wise idea, then i'm sure in the 7896 threads about what to feed your ferret, you might find the answer.
