Rake aboot - i fully believe it, animals are like people mate, or rather people are animals, and we all have our on peculiarities. Same with the stinkers, seen ones that love the dry and wont eat meet, one that have a thing for standing on your head and are unhappy till they reach it, ones obsessed with climbing fecking trees, the list goes on. Same as you get some that just CANNOT be fully hand tamed.

What ever height the dog that catches well for you is. If that makes sense. But as has been said most will probably be between 20-26 inch tts. Of course you will get crackers above and bellow this.

'Better' - a nonsense term that should be avoided. A good whippet will be 'better' than a shitty whippet x, and vice versa. And what does 'better' mean anyway, catch more??? Dogs are individuals. Whippets have great feet as a rule. But pretty thin skin. In comparison to a beddy x, i would say, feet just as good, faster initial speed, more stamina over certain distances, and comparable stamina over a night, coat/skin in general much poorer.

It's much easier the other way around. I don't feed any dry over autumn, winter and in spring put them onto dry and they don't bat an eyelid. Mind you they stuff it down but dont seem to really enjoy it. I threw two half grown bunnies in with my two hobs last night and there was half a rabbit left this morning, they even eat the skulls.
