    Wilf - i did think that as i left the thread, but didn't have the heart to say it, and to be honest how likely is said copper (conducting the interview) to have been browsing the THL general section before work. I don't think they will call in MI5 for this. R.Docks - so when is it ok in the eyes of the law to shoot a dog for merely 'trespassing' . Simple answer, it is not, and it would be a criminal offense, leading to the loss of SGS / FAC and more.     Get a light and go and pick out a squatter far far from home, he'll nail one, i'm sure. If not, scope out a place you know young bunnies are and go in the evening and see if you can drop lucky on one, or push one out of cover for him. Go back and look at all the advise you were given when you first mentioned trying to start him hunting

    Admit nothing you said. Explain that your dog was 'under control', which is all that is required in public, unless signs stipulate other wise. Explain the threatening manner the other party conducted themselves in, and how they threatened to 'kill' your pet, merely for entering the field chasing a rabbit, from which you immediatly and successsfully called her back. Maybe they even threatened you with violence? And also, a farmer can ONLY shoot a dog if it has actually caused proveable harm to his stock, and he pretty much needs dead animals or witnesses.     Thanks lads this was EXACTLY what i was looking for Someone mentioned something about the new s410's not being as good as the older models??? Or is that bull. How would a tench regg'd Ultra compare to a new out the box AAs410 also? As the price difference between the two rifles would allow for getting the Ultra regg'd for the same total cost? CHeers, Jai.

    So that makes it ok then??? Simple answer is that most people are retarded and shouldn't be allowed within 10 foot of most animals. And bringing money into the equation is not going to change that. Plenty of folk are willing to spend money on stuff they later treat badly, look at a huge number of the dogs in kennels. Most were NOT aquired for free. There are small ferrets all over the country, mostly for free or a fiver, this lad was claiming to be breeding top workers, which is arse if he is indiscriminantly breeding from ALL his jills, and banging on about how much money he is goi

    Yer mate, a good dog indeed to do the adults. I personally reckon they are tougher than the equivilant deer. If that makes sense, and any dog to stop one of the big boars on it's own, deserves some serious respect. Fast as f**k, jaws like a vice, big teeth. tusks, weigh a ton, low centre of gravity, solidly built, very little fear and a bit mad.

    Do people click 'reply' when there are a load of photos on a thread (like the whippet pictures one), and then just write 'nice photos mate', it makes the fecking thread un readable as 12 sets of the same photos try to load. Is it just me who finds it really annoying???

    Simple answer is - people object to folk chatting on about breeding top workers, when they are blatently just breeding anything they can, and passing it off as good stuff, just to make the most cash possible. If it was dogs, not ferrets, EVERYONE would have a problem with it.
