    Ah, i thought you meant they had dropped. Still VERY unlikely that the ferret is 4 months old mate, unless kept specially for breeding purposes, in temp and light controlled rooms, it would be a freaky jill that will come into season in the U.K in mid december. Bit of a wierd one.

    If all of those shooting estates closed down, what do you think would happen to the land? They are pretty handy places in a lot of senses. Bio diversity and all that. Wheather they are wild or released (and you do actually have 'wild' pheasant shoots now by the way), it's still someones livelihood, and a part of country sports in general. Taking the odd pheasant here or there isnt going to hurt anyone. But raping the place is just going to lead to its failure and its shutting down.     Don't worry about the ears. With regard to house training, you got to keep an eye on her, read her, and get her outside, and then praise her when she is going to toilet outside. Also a wee scolding when she pisses inside, but not too much, and nowt physical, just a little stern word.     What a cock. Do folk like this not understand what will happen to the moors if they stopped shooting them? Land is money. Folk wont just leave them all go for nature to do it's thing. Same as all the estates in the country. They set aside a HUGE amount of land that really benefits bio diversity. Without them, half the land would be sold off and built on. TWATS!

    You are right, most keepers can do the job with a rifle far better and with less hassle than letting you on to do it with a dog. So basiclly it's who you know. Beating, offering to help out on work parties, all will help. But generally befriending folk that are involved with the shoot and being a VERY nice and helpful bloke may get you a bot. That of course is assuming that there isnt already someone who has got their way in with a dog. If thats the case, your pretty much fecked.
