  1. Should've spent some of that sorting the feckin dogs nails out. u aint ever got out gud to say on anyones post, No fatty I think I give quite constructive input.now you wobble along. think we shud have a meet up some where,mr nobby, eh Not a good idea. He'll make you cry 650 quid, feck me that's a fair bit for a dog you just happened to walk past at a game show, you must have been feeling lucky.
  2. Cheers Tony mate, thats spot on. Now i just fecking wish i was in any way useful at doing tinkering like this myself !
  3. Ok mate, i'll try and give it an oil! The only bad thing is that when it first happened i cannot remember, if a pellet was put into the chamber or not. . .. So i need to try and sort that out if so. Gives me something to do! And i could do with a wee bit of extra cash.
  4. Right! Think i got the HW80 sorted. Someones going to replace the cocking shoe, give it all a service and clean for 30 quid! With the sharps, having looked, i think the seals DO need replacing and they can be got still, but only from the states, costs about 30/35 quid. Might stick it up for sale in the state it is. Or might get the seals and sort it and then sell it. Then need to decide between the HW80 thats currently in pieces and a webley vulcan i have here in working order. One will stay and one will go.
  5. So you have never poached bogger sad been a forlock tugger all your life relieing on keepers for a bit of permission. course i have id be a liar if i said i dont pop over the next hedge who doesnt curiousity gets the better off us. but im not the one moon lighting pheasants an trying to get a pat on the back for some pheasants an rabbits on a back garden am i? i think its sad how a so called poacher of the past needs to come on here an have his ego stroked by some newbies an youngens Thats the worst thing about forums, all the desperate seeking of acknowledgement and kud
  6. Sound mate cheers for that, i'll hunt down a new shoe for the HW80, any suggestions where? Also with regards to the seals on the innova, would they need replacing as well as oiling?
  7. Some very good sense there mate! Why this section? Because the folk he wants to impress are on this section. All them clean bunnies, no body marks, and blood coming out the ears/nose? Caught by a terrier in 2 hours or shot? COME ON! And a cocker that chases bunnies and birds all over the shop sounds like a fecking nightmare to me. Also where did the idea come from that if you didnt stick up photos of your catch on here then you were not catching anything???
  8. I don't get the confusion. Pheasants are out of season. Simple. As for the rest, it's just a case of personal morals. But if i stuck up a photo of a fox my mutt had killed, with the dog in photo it'd get removed because it's illegal, and the same goes for illegally (out of season) killed pheasants surely? But of course it becomes the usual shooters vs dogmen shit. Half the folk with lurchers who go on and on about hating pheasant shooting. . . . . . i just dont get it? I'm happy as f**k to live next to a few shoots. Lots of land set aside that wont be built on etc. Lots of
  9. Try giving it a soft toy, or leaving the radio on. I know that sounds daft, but it often helps. Is it outside or in the house? You got to remember it must be thinking WHAT THE FUUUUUUCK!
  10. Cheers Andy. I have removed the bolt, and the barrel, keeping the wee shims. The cocking arms clips into the shoe. The only problem is i now cannot re-asemble it as i dont seem to be able to line up a clear hole in order to screw the bolt back through! So i now have a HW80 sat in front of me in 3 pieces and i'm stumped! Jai. What do you mean about the Inova? When i pump it and then pull the trigger, i can hear the air escaping inside the rifle, and only a little comes out the barrel.?
  11. Useful Dave, cheers. . . . . Having just taken the HW80 apart i have discovered that the cocking arm had jumped out of its wee holder thing, and it looks simple enough to fix, although i am having trouble detaching the barrel.
  12. Cause it might wash the stink of BO from me............ I wish it would stay sunny and warm...... It is just not in Scotland :tongue2: I wish I could fart music. Instead of shitting myself all the time........... I wish i had a Ferrari....... Granted- but the roads are demolished and everyone else has faster hover cars. . WISH- I wish I had my own field You do, a mine field, f**k all use to you. I wish it was autumn already.
  13. Work done, bored now.

  14. You sure he is only 4 month? Just he sounds like he is trying to mate her? Also that hob would have been born start of feb? With the jill that had it mated around mid december, which would be highly unusual?
  15. It's mostly stopped now but there was a time when EVERY fecker who found anything remotly ferret related, including the police, would drop them by my place. Even if i was not in. As a result often came home to find an upside down bucket or similar with a brick on top, places in the garage. Only problem is one day some fecker had trapped a mink, and that was what greeted me when i lifted the bucket.
  16. You said you had one before mate? Were the jill and hob then the same or related to the jill and hob you used this time? Really weird for it to be the whole litter.
  17. Cheers mate, The HW80 did have a spring at one time for sure, as i used to hunt with it. When did they first make these guns as it must be well over a decade old? Just had a wee tinker with the sharps, seems with a few pumps it does charge up, but then when the trigger is pulled the air sounds like it just leaks inside the breech? Sending email now matey.
  18. Hey all, I was having a dig through the old gun cabinets and discovered two air rifles, both in need of repair. The first is a HW80. Seems find, apart from, when you go to cock the rifle, there is no resistance, and when the barel is closed back up, there is no air and pulling the trigger does nothing. Any ideas? I was thinking a broken spring? Or seals gone? The second rifle is a Sharp Innova, little pump rifle, which again seems fine apart from, you can pump it, and when you pull the trigger, there is no air, no shot. Again i was thinking it's probably the seals? Now i have f

  20. At first he seemed straight up and i found him so in my dealings. Pretty helpful bloke. But these days you do here ALOT of issues and a total lack of resolution. Whats changed?

    Badger.

jai i thought you would no more than that mate a badger would kill a lamb that size in seconds they dont have them big k9s just for eating beetles and worms like some would have us believe  It was a fair size mate, i know they can take lambs of a couple of weeks, but this one would have been an impressive takedown. I've never really heard of them aggressively hunting them like a fox does. I know they eat plenty of dead sheep and other animals, but wasn't sure how big they could actually kill themselves??? But then watching the fox vs badger vid. . . . . you could be right. Min

be carefull what you say on here bud after last nights episode not only do we have unwanted guests but members that pass on info S'alright mate, i'm not going anywhere near anywhere i shouldnt or doing anything i shouldnt be, only culprit that would get dealt with would be foxy and in a legal manner. The others are just a f*****g menace, but they are all over the shop, and that's not a local thing, south wales is sinking into the ground. Cheers for the heads up though Chimp - Aye mate there is TB about, not too bad, but it had been in the past.
  24. your answer is about 6 or 7 posts above this one mate. So all them caught in the cover by the terrier in a couple of hours? Must be like watership down
