  1. I love a good mooch, johnnyboy68 and myself do it a lot with the three dogs, letting them find their own game and do their own thing at their own pace. It's great to watch and makes for some top sport. Also, you never know whats going to get up and where you will end your day. I always think we should have a mooching / bushing section here. Mainly, because a lot of the cover dogs dont fit into the 'terrier', 'lurcher', 'hound' or 'gundog' section. If you have most types of land, you will catch a very small percentage of what you see, but in some places, such as moorland or dales etc, you c
  2. And here is what happened . . . . Recently Wednesday has become away day, and i have taken the opportunity to get in the car and go and work the dog and ferrets in some different places around the country, have a bit of a mooch and meet a few lads off here. A couple of weeks ago i took a trip down to sussex and had a really enjoyable mooch about, meeting up with Tyla for a few hours. It was great, and i really enjoyed the landscape down that way, so this week, a bit last minuite, i decided to make the trip down once again. I hit the sack early, around 6pm, after sorting out my gear an
  3. It really does depend on the land, both in terms of rabbit density, terrain and if the bunnys have been hunted before.
  4. Cheers lads! Will write it up this evening, i'm in work at the moment feeling half dead haha. Would have bagged more but it wasn't the aim of the day and my 'subtle rabbit sack' only carries 9 at a time, and i couldnt be fecked with making more than two trips

  11. Aye tomo - it always seems to read deeper than it is, so you need to be a bit careful with the old spade. As for them coming out to the beep, not a chance if the rabbit is still alive, if it's dead, the often pop out and say howdy at the mouth of the hole and then shoot back to it when they see me digging.
  12. Ah, so the signed photo turned up? Brilliant I'll send you over the xxx rated version soon.
  13. You could offer me a day on rabbit infested land, with the liklihood of taking 100 + bunnies on the day, and if i couldnt bring my dog, i wouldnt do it.

  15. I will vouch for albert64's nets, i have used his purse, poke and stop / gate nets and they are all top quality workmanship, at a good price and do their job very well. He is also a really sound bloke
  16. Glad too read this I am trying too ease my 5 year old pet cocker into things. Taking it easy though and all ready he has put up woodcock. The stock training side of things is a worry so I am a bit limited where I can take him which is why he hasnt come across a rabbit yet but its only a matter of time spend the summer getting him rock steady on stock and ferrets and come next season you'll be laughing, you could still use him to mark this season though, just keep him on a lead......he'll get used to seeing how it all works aswell then. Mine wanted all ferrets dead until he saw them
  17. A lad i know was last seen being chased down the street by a load of armed police and a helicopter. Woner what he did?

  20. get a fooking grip. Bit fooking touchie arent you so are saying some only ferret 3 months a year Not fooking touchie at all, just could not be arsed typing an essay in defense of the folks who knock it on the head, rather than carry on. I may have been blunt, but thats how I'd be if I was stood in front of you. Now with a little bit more time, I'll discuss it in a propper manner. Firstly, how ever you conduct yourself in the field, or any one else, is none of my business, people do things differently, each to there own. My only gripe really is for somebody who obviously doe

P.S the knife is mine ya b*****ds.
