A whippet wont beat a purpose bred (and decent lurcher), but they have their place. You already have a whippet, so get a well bred rabbitng lurcher and your team will be complete.

I will explain. I have two old jills, about six / seven. They probably only have one more season in them really, and i have pretty much retired the one, after she had her face split open. I then have a younger jill of about three. I then have two hobs and a jill which will be two this summer. They have just got into full working swing. The hobs were also brought in as outside blood to breed into my line. I then had a litter of 5 kits this year out of my oldest and best jill - i gave one jill kit to young tom, and kept the other jill for myself. I also kept the three hobs, t

I've reached the point where i believe that if you are a competant enough trainer a decent collie can do pretty much most things, within reason.

Right. Define 'Minshaw' because? Well bred collie based lurcer out of a line of dogs started by a guy called minshaw. Whats the pup? A well bred collie based lurcher out of a line of dogs started by a guy called minshaw. It doesnt really make a bit of difference that certain dogs were bred by some guy called vic a long time ago. Credit to him, but now the credit really should go to andy and his lads for testing and breeding a consistantly good line of dogs. Where is the issue with that?

lol collie x with 1/28 of a Minshaw in the mix way way way way back.... Still plenty enough for the crabbers To me it's just a well bred collie lurcher. As long as it does the job, it could be called a malteser.
