  1. i've had run ins like this before, but i made sure i knew some of the lads names before approaching them, when i confronted them they acted as if i didn't know who they were,so i shouted of a list of names who were present, and all of them were suprised,i did my homework first but these scum still need to be dealt with and i do not advocate confrontation methods as they will use knives more often than not,but it does help the fact that you know most of the group, they then think twice about doing anything, also always have CCTV equipment installed to back everything up,i wish you all the best Jaspe
  2. you all might find the right info on Daihatsu Drivers Uk forum, there's all the mod info on there, plus pics in the gallery......... Higgins.
  3. Elstrudo...... whatever, my real name is Jimmy Cricket, his favourite saying is '....and there's more...' so are we hearing '...and there's more....' from you? Higgins. and how 'entertaining is he now'? Higgins
  4. Hi Zap,just check out the website DAIHTSU DRIVERS UK,It's a good forum, you'll get an idea of prices on there, plus the gallery has lots of pics of DAIHATSU FOURTRAKS,Those 2.8TD fortaks are fast as well as robust, better than landy's,all the best, Higgins.
  5. Bolohan,at least you have a good conscience,it wouldn't have been fair to let a 14 week pup on a blinded fox, good on you and have a pint of Fosters on me pal,put some pics up of your pup for the crack,G'day mate, Higgins.

  8. they have substantial assets apparently,it's no wonder they have got a loan from the BOE,but i've noticed in the news today that a significant amount of depositors have withdrawn their money to the tune of approx 2billion,if this continues they will be f*****d as all confidence in banking with them will be lost, talk about rats leaving a sinking ship...... Higgins.
  9. if i can remember everyone must have been calling me Piggins not Higgins as i am deaf, now i know why i keep using the nickname Higgins!
  10. wow that site's amazing, found two pics(pigs)of me when i was at school.....
  11. personally,if you have the time and patience for your ferrets, you would separate the hob and only put him with jills @breeding time, vets are a last resort either because you can't be bothered with separating them or because they all live together in the same hutch. It's usually best practise to keep all same sex ferrets together and introduce males when the need to breed arises,so mostly it's a case of keeping the sexes apart, vets are there for illnesses, why spend extra money on castrating/speying/neutering when all you really have to do is separate them into males and females and house them
  12. Midnight Walker sounds like a good cross, but temperament wise as regards to fitting in with other members of a dog team, the terrier nature may be dominant and in a lurcher sense is not ideal, but the cross seems very useful, keep us updated on your lurcher's progress, thanks, Higgins.
  13. some nice looking Russell's there pal, Higgins.
  14. i find that a picture will generate enquiries,a picture is worth a thousand words, hope this helps, Higgins.
  15. Ditch your right it takes ages sometimes, maybe the best and logical solution really is to change the settings on the camera to it's smallest file size if the pics are only going to be uploaded on a forum, there's no messing about that way, most people tend to use the highest quality on their cameras all the time, then when they have to upload find out it's too big then go into Photobucket and then back to forum..... ad infintum...
  16. Nice pup Swandog1,looks very similar to mine at 8weeks.... and here he is at 5months... Higgins.
  17. Couldn't see first pic, fascinating pic of your uncle Pickaxe,i like these old pics the earlier they were took the more fascinating, Higgins.
  18. ELECTRIC POWER is the combination of the pressure or VOLTAGE times the flow or AMPERAGE. This combination is called WATT or WATTS. This is generally the unit of power that we use in assessing electrical systems. It functions as a common denominator for different voltages and amperages. For example: 10 Amps at 24 Volts = 240 Watts (Amps x Volts = Watts) or 1,550 Watts at 120 Volts = 12.5 Amps (Watts / Volts = Amps) One Watt powered for one hour is called a WATT HOUR. 1,000 Watts powered for one hour is called a KILOWATT HOUR. just put the wattage of your bulb and your battery in
  19. Bang on Levs,he's done his biz now, what do people expect of the old timers, there's young 'uns that can't do one tenth of what these fellas did coming on and saying all sorts, fair play to the old timers who dug when the world was sort of 'right',we now know of course the world is not 'right'now, too much interference from the anti's and the media, shouldn't we all just help one another and move on,where are all the leading terriermen now and more to the point, all the leading terriermen in the past were different in their methods, their dogs and their locations,so from a higher viewpoint you could
  20. Elisderyn some good points mentioned there and duly noted, your set up looks excellent only wish i could speed up and get to the end, still taking my time, going for some more cement tommorrow so i can get on with Phase Two,i will be putting pics of my progress on smoochers for now as that is where i started the topic, all the best, Higgins.
  21. Nice Runs Elisderyn, hello G.mac as you can see i'm still hunting for tips on building my kennels/runs! Elisderyn,i notice that you have small kennels inside the runs,i assume these are removable for cleaning/maintence etc;a sensible idea also the small kennel size for terriers just allows enough room for terriers to sleep in and not foul them up,i discovered early on my terrier started using the back end of a kennel(too large) for shiting in and is a pain to keep clean,i will be incorporating that detail into my setup, thanks for the pics, have a good season everyone, Higgins.
  22. Mr.1 can we see some pics of your dogs, please, maybe not the freshly bitten ones, but the type you work and that dosen't cause offence to the antis,i'm sure everone who has been following this thread with great interest would agree with me,if it's not too much trouble, good hunting, Higgins.
  23. i'm in favour of a terrier,i like the lurchers, but the terrier has the character and the guts to do what most dogs wouldn't,if this thread was about lurchers only,i apologise but i'm sure it started with 'any dog',so for me right now it's a terrier, they are TOO brave for their own good,i certainly wouldn't like to do a terriers vocation, good hunting, Higgins.
  24. yes these guys seem to be shooting well, going for head shots is proffesional stuff, they'll go a long way, good hunting,or should i say good shooting, Higgins.
  25. looks like you had a good night pal, that hare does look a decent size next to the fox, good shooting pal, Higgins.
