these things happen, just stay on good terms with your friend, things will right themselves after, unless he is an unforgiving type of person, then it will take much longer...... Higgins.
-
if you don't use him for lamping shouldn't be a problem, also if this behaviour doesn't bother you then it's okay, natural for a dog to do that,if you want to use him with ferrets you'll have a marking dog, you know there's rabbits in there,it all depends what you would like to use him for, from what you said it looks like he has a good nose for finding, good hunting Kat, Higgins.

On smoochers now some Nuttall pups,100% workers, look for Alan pups for sale, all the best, Higgins.

the things terriers do,heard some loud popping noises last night, went downstairs and there's my terrier popping party poppers with the family dog,PARTY,i think not,it's the kennel again for you pal..... Higgins.

i have had hundreds of letters from Official Govt,TV licensing asking me to'update their records', trying to frighten me with 'we'll catch you' shit, waste your time i ain't replying to bullies, piss off you parasites, fit for the bin, wonder how many forests have dissapeared because of their demanding junk mail, well have they caught me yet? They never will,i'm not subsidising them,i watch other peoples tv's but there's nowt to watch on them but brainwashing shite, and they want ME TO PAY FOR WATCHING THIS?Yeah right, get a life, Higgins. P.S (sorry for ranting on yer thread Ditch, just had to le

seen a few terriers collapsing in various situations, never got to find out the reasons for all of them, one was on a dig(although at the time i put it down to fear),once while a terrier was mating(that one scared the shit out of me!)although he was fine after that, another time was obvious,it had almost strangled on a washing line after the other dog ran round him catching his lead and effectively stringing him up,after a bit of mouth to mouth(i know!) and a heart massage he came back to life and was fine after that, sort of? Higgins.

No matie..it was a Hillman Avenger..Still got it Hi Doxey, was the Hillman Avenger running then or was it just propping the fence up?Is that why you've still got it?

Ye vicious b*stard! How long did it take ye to come up with that lot?! Nearly pissed my f*ckin denims! This has already got my vote for most enjoyably sureal thread of the year! It's like something out of Monty f*ckin Python! ..... Oh god, now I'm in tears with laughing! Ditch i was trying to classify the hybrid for the next generation of working terrier enthusiasts,if any of the descriptions stuck, then i could stake my claim to fame for naming this original hybrid....... Higgins.

for a minute i thought he might be joking, but as soon as the pic came up,i relaxed a bit, thought he was trying to wind us up before ,then when i could see the fence behind him,i knew everyone would be happy and that he was a bonafide genuine hunter/fence erector, just wondering if i should just have the back garden done first, before the front, what does everyone think?By the way Doxhope, the expression is cool man, what were you thinking to achieve that look? Higgins.

lamping is exciting simply because you can hunt more ground under cover of darkness, apart from short bursts of the beam, you can certainly catch more than during daylight hours, apart from the catch ratio of night versus daytime, there is always a thrill about sneaking about in some new uncharted/ unvisited lamping ground, never knowing what to expect, for me lamping is the certainty of knowing you could catch more yet at the same time you are not sure what the darkness holds, and when good dogs and men get together at night to engage in surreptitious activity, and escape undetected with a fair am

Scuba 1 what underwater camera have you got?I'm looking for one not too expensive for a wedding/holiday in a few weeks and since i do a bit of snorkelling i decided to try and get something i can use in the water, depth is not critical as i won't be diving too deep, could you recommend one ,all the best, Higgins.

Good luck with your terriers Woody, hope you have a good season, Higgins.
-
oh well ,a shame, you should try him the once,at least he'd be in with a chance on a fox,a Rotty no chance at all,but each to their own, looks a useful sort tho',good hunting, Higgins.
-
he looks similar to mine, but i can assure you(i hope) that he has no poodle in him,but those prick ears of his suggest a dash of Alsation(i hope not)!Do you use him for earthwork,he looks like he would give a good account of himself, all the best, Higgins. Ali at 6mnths...
-
How do you refer him as, to other people? As a Pattoodle, poodpatt, pooterrier, toodle, perrier, terpoodle, pooter,or terpoo? Higgins.

yes i remember a guy in Pennington Flash in the north west, but,he is a greyhound man,and recently i heard he had done some unintentional damage to a lurcher recently,my advice would be to try a different vet and tell him the history of your recent experience with another vet,he may well see this as a challenge to himself and try to prove he can better the other vets knowledge/experience,the guy in Pennington was a greyhound man,and i witnessed a qiuck miraculous instant cure on a lurcher with a troubled joint, which sprang into action after the 'cure',but my advice is still to seek qualified

i think some smaller dogs can work the game better in confined spaces, the bigger dogs can hold them better,it's just a matter of what you've got at the time, but i would never look at a terrier and say it can't do a job, every terrier is unique,it's then a matter of horses for courses,a terrier is useful if the owner finds it so, Higgins.

can't believe this post hasn't come to a conclusion yet,the more experienced people on here say it can be done,if all the perfect combination of conditions and dogs are present, how simple was that, happy Magic 100 all, Higgins.

keep them, and pass them on to your kids,i'm sure they will have more sentimental value that way, wouldn't be the same if you sold them, then bought other copies for your kids, the value is increased through passing them on... Higgins.

nice terriers Woody, like the black and tan, Higgins.
-
nice litter pal, what lines are they and what do the parents work like, Higgins.

i'd like to add that nets are useful if you have to relocate a nuisance fox,it's not recommended to loose a terrier after a fox when released(could mean more digging if it runs to ground again,as well as the current laws will put you in some illegal territory, either shoot it or move it is the best thing to do),once you have had your terrier doing his stuff below and you have bolted him or dug to him the dog is a good 'un,don't make things worse for yourself, the terrier and the fox,all the best, Higgins.

Brian Nuttall to Judge Peover Hall
higgins replied to Bosun11's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
is this on sunday, also what time does it start? Will this be at Peover Hall Cheshire, not some venue in Merseyside? Thanks, Higgins. -
The numbers game, ruins some good dogs, distorts the ego of the owners,to the point where the reason for hunting was forgotten,if you can't enjoy watching a dog hunt and are more concerned with 'how many have we got',then you'll never be happy with any amount you catch,it should be more about hunting with friends and watching the dogs work, that's where the true enjoyment comes, i can still get satisfaction out of a night's lamping even if we miss some,it's not the end of the world if you don't take the big numbers but watching how they hunt, all the best, Higgins.
