  1. we live in an age of 'i want it now' technology, the trouble is the technology is faster, more reliable, but the people are not as patient to wait for the milliseconds of improved technology, what will happen when the next technology comes that tells us we have two foxes,a male and female, then when you dig down it's two males,we will never be able to please everyone, Higgins.
  2. give plenty of time for dog to settle, regardless of which system you use they are all using the same technology,B+F,Ortovox it's all the same, the only criteria to rely on is a steady mark either in depth or numbers,if the signal is steady that's the right signal,i don't own a B+F,thinking of purchasing a Barryvox from Bryan and collar from Strong Stuff,i presently use a Deben, nowt wrong with Deben, many digs in the past were successful due to them being available, and at the end of the day ANY system is preferable to none at all, Higgins.
  3. brown bails these banks out with our money and then fails to stop the 'you fail we reward you' culture, brown still has many unanswered questions yet, even before the credit crunch crisis,he is making sure 'he is taking action on 'saving the world'so that he can be seen raising his own profile, but there is still the 'small matter' of our pension fund which he raided and is still part of our problem, but it's great as he says the fault lay with the sub prime market which started in america,he won't be in power next election, but the worst problem is the tory's will take over from him,we are in a re
  4. you still getting txt messages in your head lol, Higgins.
  5. Thanks for the replies, had him put to sleep on the advice of the vet,she says it's either a large abcess or a tumour, and it would require surgery from which there would be no gaurantee of successful recovery and wouldn't be fair to subject it to prolonged treatment, thanks, Higgins.
  6. i when i took thesehe's eating okay and still lively, but he looked a bit tired when i took these pics, just have to hear what the vet says tomorrow, thanks, Higgins.
  7. thanks for your replies.i'll see what the vet says, but if they start going on about about a lengthy course of treatment with no guarantees i'll just have him put to sleep.Yes i noticed the eye colour too,i remember on the news someone photograhed a young person and the flash showed up some thing in the eye and it turned out to be cancer,i think i'll take the camera with me and show the vet. Thanks, Higgins.
  8. one of my ferrets,a black eyed white hob has a lump on his head, does anyone know what this could be? Also are B.E.W's prone to these tumours, what is the treatment available and in the long run would it be better to put him to sleep rather than go through a lengthy and costly course of treatment?I'm off to the vets with him in the morning, see what they say, here's some pictures of him.....
  9. was the dog innoculated?Had the dog been used for ratting, also did it have a booster? It's unlikely the reason is a because it's bred by Nuttall, the dog has picked something up,could've been anything poison, disease from rats, not all innoculations are 100 percent protective, did you get any sample from the dog from the vet after having it put down? Also you say you know of another similar situation to this, what became of that dog?Sorry to hear about this, hope you find out what caused this, Higgins.

  17. JUST TAPE YOUR FERRET COLLAR ONTO YOUR TERRIERS COLLAR. I never use a collar on my dog because of the type of hair he has he ends up bald a collar on a leg would probably work loose,if the dog wears a collar round his neck it would be better to secure it on this, Higgins.
  18. The Government has announced new plans to reform the benefits culture, single mothers with children one year old and people on incapacity benefits will be given help to get back into work. Those who do not take up job offers will have to do community work or have their benefits stopped, the aim is to change the mindset of long term benefits claimants and end the benefits culture, Higgins.

slowly but surely, the powers that be,can tell us what we mortals cannot do from now on,the question is who grants these mere mortals in power, the authorirty to TELL US WE CANNOT DO simple things like walking a dog or catching something the dog caught, surely these are natural incidences, and i for one will not recognize authority unless it comes from a reputable source, and a reputable source is not government, council or any Authority that so recognises it self as such so called 'powers that may be',so WHO CAN ANSWER THE QUESTION,,my money is on the government who control everything, hence the n

And still we try to help each other through the quaqmire called 'law',his question however remains unanswered,do we now try to help a fellow asking a lawful question or do we ostrasize him, regardless of his intent, which has not been proven, the point is he asked a simple question which may even benefit us all in the end, Higgins.

    Notice

if the notice has been put up by the keeper he is probably trying to make sure people keep their dogs on the lead, does he have the authority on a public right of way to even put the notice up?Maybe he wants to keep his life simple, the guy only wants to know how he stands with this notice as regards to the law,is it unlawful to let dogs roam,or does the keeper have authority to put such notices up and are they to be observed as legal notice,i think that's what he want's to know the answer to, Higgins.
