  1. take your time mate, bond with it and you'll know when its ready. personally and from what i been told (only on my first myself) id wait untill about 12 months to start properly but the odd run here and there aint gonna hurt, try get it out to watch a made dog a few times first if possible, i didnt have that chance but its often said to be a good idea, and most importantly just easy runs at first that he has chance of getting, so not to dissapoint and frustrate him which can make em lose interest apparently or start yapping whilst running
  2. great thats what i thought, that his 2nd season buggered as well then, well the start at least, wish i had room for another dog. last season with the freeze and another injury he barely saw anything in reality, this season started promising, had a few nights went well then he had an allerfic reaction to a sting, now this. and the vets want 250 to have it off as its quite bad and they say he needs to go under anaesthetic, think they;re taking the piss! but that i wouldnt mind, just this lad shows good promise and he deserves a decent season. as do i, just got my first little bit of permission a

  6. might be a silly question but will my clulite battery work with a lightforxe or blitz lamp head? would i just have to swap to a different connector? be a lot cheaper than buying a full set up.

  11. everywhere we can go is still rock solid still irrigating the crops still there, its bloody october!, my dog was layed up for few weeks, lead only vet said, finally when he was allowed off he went crazy like a cork out a bottle ran off round a big field and then disappeared came back towards us down the track and smashed his toe up chasing a big rabbit he had put up. idiot. so couple more weeks at least now. early september he had a few on the lamp which is good for round our way, only his second season and last one was poor so was pleased to see him so switched on still, everything retrieved,
  12. i tried that markus muhle dry dog food, was reccomended on here by skycat or casso (on another thread) cant remember which, and i have to say its really good. bit pricey but i mix it up with that and raw and its awesome, and he dont stink my camper out either now, he used to have some horrific wind!
  13. its hard when they are a pet too mate, but f you work it then you gotta accept the possibility that it can and possibly will get seriously hurt, my bullx was mental like that last season (his first) but a few close calls and not too bad injuries (thank f**k) and he now slows up and thinks a lot more whilst running, yours will probably do the same as it matures.

  21. what if you have an opinel knife? they lock but not automatically so is this counted as locking? all my mates use these as theyre sharp as hell and they are cheap so can toss it in hedge if needed or lose it and it aint hard to replace
  22. yeah smaller than 3 inch and you have to have a reason to be carrying it, permission slip might help too to prove its all above board, if its the case they can't take it off you
