Torn Stopping Pad Yolk!
Millet replied to jessythewhippet's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I would not stick it back especially if it's been a couple of day's as it will of started to heal..if it was my dog i would just leave it to it's own device's..the loose bit will dry up and shrivel away eventually.. -
It's just aswell you know what you are doing and read the sign's and got him straight to the vet's..and it's also good that you knew not to run him any more on the night otherwise he might not be here now..he is a strong fit dog and im pretty sure he will pull safe..

Here's my old brindle for you paulus.. ..notice the dropped muscle to the right of his pod's.. that does cause him some grief but his neck/back and feet are fooked through accident's over the year's..i suppose a bone man might sort him out but i much prefer to see him having the easy life now..

Brilliant to see.. .. i have a ten year old here who has not worked properly over the past 2yr's..he was worked hard so to speak over the year's and took quite a few knock's and bang's in his time..he will still try and run stuff but his body wont let him..and he scream's the place down the next day even of one run.. so i choose to let him just have idle walk's and a lot of dossing on the sofa. .

Is that it..41 poxy dale's bunnies.. ..i could of done better in the day time with my 10yr old lurcher and 14yr old terrier..i think you need to get back to the drawing board especially if your dog's are capable of 100 dale's bunnie's.. ..i mean.. come on..even a average dog could do better than that on the dale's bunnies.. ...no matter what the condition's because after all they are only dale's bunnies.. ..im not into number's myself but even on the dale's bunnies.. you should be hitting around the 100 mark everynight if the dog's are that good.. Concluding this crap thread you say eve

Torn Stopping Pad Yolk!
Millet replied to jessythewhippet's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
It should not really be swollen with a bit of stopper damage..unless it has become infected or she has took a bang to the joint... i would keep a eye on it and have a trip to the vet if the swelling does not go pretty soon. -

Ive seen stopper's ripped/split and totaly gone..the best thing to do IMO is leave it open and let the dog deal with it it;s self.. Here's one a bit worse than a damaged stopper that was more or less healed after a month...left to his own device's. -
I have a terrier here that could do that..

The way i have read it is she has come on here to ask advice..but she is just going to do what she want's anyway and ignore what folk have said..i may be wrong but that's the way i see it..

I have not had to work on a dog's fitness for some year's now but when working i never done anything other than run them regular..when the run's start drying up and the weather warming up. i would give them 3 mile a day running along side the peddle bike..and plenty of run's on the beach..i would go the the shore line where it is nice and flat and continuously throw a golf ball which would roll for some distance on the flat's..the dog's used to love it and when they get a bit warm they would jump in the sea to cool of..my elbows and shoulder is fooked now so i will be getting one of them tenni

It's just a shame rudie ended up injured let's hope he make's a full recovery in quick time.. ..aleast the little star Boo shone on the night with no pulling up on the fence's and doing his good retrieve's..
