  1. I used to work on a chemical site that used to make all kind's of tar based product's and one of them was creosote..two of the chemical's that go into creosote are Napthelene and Pitch both are carcinogenic from prolonged exposure.. and burn fook out of your skin which i have experienced several time's..i got burned that bad one time that i had to stay out of the sun for a week and i have seen another lad have to pay a visit to A@E... so my guess is either one of those chemical's..
  2. Mine started mid April last year and i was glad the first cluth where infertile as the weather was shite..
  3. Any Hancocks in you? Na mate i'm just a pure bred mongrel..
  4. I would jack on one of them in the water they are fecking evil even more so with Cygnet's around them..
  5. It's still a little early for me as there is still a risk of a bad spell and frost upto the end of april ..
  6. I can't wait for the flies and wasp's to do my head in aswell as those lovely midge bites..summer would not be summer without all those big itchy red spot's.. ..also the smell from the local pig farmer when he spread's a load of pig shite on the field on those warm summer night's just after you have hung a load of clean washing on the line..and don't forget when everone who like's rave music all of a sudden think's everyone else does and turn up the volume and open all the window's in there car and house..the sight of all those broken glass lambrini bottle's from all the drunken teenages real
  7. This is just my opinion from several personal experience's and and i have said this before and i will say it again.. once you cross a whippet over any heavier dog the explosive acceleration and speed has been flung straight out the window and they will struggle with the later season bunnies..you will need a bit of greyhound in there to get the leg length up to add a bit more pace..so i don't really see the point in any first cross unless you do a lot of ratting and long netting..if you want a consistant rabbit dog stick with a pure whippet or a racey lurcher cross 22in or over..
  8. It's fooked.. .. i don't mind the odd wonder like that if all the speed machines are equally matched in speed and size.. i have done it several time's on good bunnie land more so for a meet up and a walk with old and new friend's and a good bit of banter.. i don't do it regular and i don't condone it.. but personally i would not do it on a regular basis maybe 3/4 times a year.. but not on the hares as they are obviously forbidden quarry in this goverment run nanny sheep ridden country..
  9. What about putting a load of pot dummy egg's in there..
  10. It's a fecking science type thing trying to keep them alive.. at certain time's of the year you have to bag them up and put them in the bottom of the fridge..feck that for a game of soldier's .. a tin of fly spray is much easier..

A couple of fire lighter's and a throw away barby..
  16. If you don't already have a flue liner fitted it may help to do so.. the creosote from coal and wood eat's away at the cement inbetween the block's/brick's and the smell can seep through into the next room which i have seen happen.. the worst one i have seen was in Moll's old cottage..the fire was inbetween the bedroom and front room the bedroom also had a open fire...every now and again the smoke and smell would seep through into the bedroom chimney and fill the bedroom with smoke and a horrible smell..in the end the bedroom fire chimney had to be sealed of and if she had not moved a liner wo
  17. It would mate but really i want to keep this cock bird to breed from as he is a cracking coloured bird that should hopefully breed equally nice young.. .. if i get my arse into gear i have a hen to collect for him...so all i need is a extra cock bird..and if all goes well i will have plenty of young to go around next season..
  18. I'm getting another hen Mate so i will put my cock bird with the hen and D.W is on the look out for a cock bird for me to go with the two hen's i bred to try and rule out any close inbreeding..
  19. Sorted.. i had a good experienced mate come around yesterday and he had to take his time as the hen's where almost the same as a average cock bird..but the good cock bird's stood out a mile which made the hen's look like poor cock bird's if you know what i mean.. .. anyway i have ended up with 2 cock's and 4 well marked hen's..
  20. That's a bold statement gsdxg and i'm guessing you have never met or been out with Darcy..
