Nice post mate,when you got back to camp did you have a nice plate of beans waiting(like in all the best westerns).Are those coyotes common over most of the states or just in certain areas,read quite a few good articles lately about coyote hunting with dogs.I would of thought being quite a large predator and everyman seems to be after them,shooting aswell as dogging.They are under quite a bit of pressure or are there plenty to go round. Hope everything works out well for you on the digging side.Perhaps one day the USA will be the last stronghold of working dogs,truely the land of the free.

Had a phone call from Royston2 asking if I fancied a walk round his permission again,not having much to do I accepted his kind offer.The nose on his lurcher bitch is getting better all the time as she found another road kill this time a roe buck.Its always nice to get some venison in the freezer,very handy his bitch developing a good bit of roed sense for one so young.

A lot of these pics show quarry being taken doubled up,though not the most sporting of approaches IMHO its the best way to enter a dog and also increase the number of catches,with most farmers and landowners they are not intrested in a sporting run just intrested in dead vermin.All academic of course now the ban is in.

No expert but I think you have to downsize your pics in your files. pm IanB he will put you right.

EDRD IMHO is the only mag worth reading or has ever been worth reading.True some months are better than others depending on what choice of working dog you prefer.David Harcombe is probably to honest some times and is definatly not scared of airing his views.If you think you can do better then do it but I think you will probably have trouble filling 12 issues,let alone over 12 years worth of issues.
