  1. depends if its stags or heinds Not to me it doesnt. Even if there wasnt a ban on i think it would be unfair to slip a single dog on a red deer. first you say it cant be done now its just not fair thl at its best why post on this topic Yes you are 100% correct i dont bilieve a dog can take one single handed and i dont think its fair on the dog to even slip on one either. . Its just my opinion. And to say a lurcher would catch one on a grassy field is abit of a joke mate.

  3. No dog could take one single handed in my opinion. But im sure youll have a few people on here saying there beddie/whippet does them regularly .....
  4. Thats wierd mate i work with ALOT of dogs who may or may not be able to be labled pit types and ive only ever seen one taken and this dog had bitten a child. Maybe the police in my area arnt too bothered. The police and dangerous dog wardens actually bilieve they have a scoring system so if a dog scores high on the system its classed as a dangerous animal and destroyed. As said about red noses and blue noses to me there nice to look at in countries where theyre legal but not my idea of a proper animal. ATB
  5. I think you'll find pit bull TYPES are banned along with Japanese tosa and dogo argentinio also fila brazilio. So if you had I lurchers with a red nose I don't think it would be classed as a banned breed. ATB

  7. alrite mate would it be possible for you to make some double peggers ? AtB
  8. i find bull crosses can make veryhandy rabbiting dogs especially when they arnt afraid of cover as when lamping and bushing in daytime sometimes rabbits will hit a bit of bramble and just sit there. i also think that pre ban lamping a bull cross on rabbits not only got it fit but would help with confident striking and turning and running the beam ect.in other words preparing it for bigger stuff. these rabbits where taken on our latest mooch.
  9. weve had muntjac running down the bottom of garden sends the mutts crazy. and ive seen them getting caught in metal fences. one was stuck in the local school gates !!!
  10. went out for a mooch earlier on a new bit of permission. plenty of cover and rough ground made it perfect for abit of bramble bashing. dogs managed a couple today but cant wait to return with a few ferrets and make a proper dent in the population.
  11. Just shows you haven't seen many bull crosses work. Not my cup of tea personally it seemed a very long messy drawn out and set up process. But each to there own.
  12. I know people that ferret on national trust land. I used to do abit on some myself. Just ask a ranger the worse that can happen is they say no.
  13. Agree with you mate how can people claim there controlling the population and saving farmers crops and then trying to increase the rabbit populations ? I'd like to hear what the landowner thinks.
