  4. Is typp ratcher the feller who bred the poodle/greyhounds ??
  5. Dunno mate but im in berkshire and there are loads of muntjac and roe. On the lamp it seems like there in everyother field.
  6. Good pics mate. I know enough grown men who are still running so im sure kids can be forgiven for getting out. Atb
  7. Well its not much use to me as i dont see anything in a gsd x that i couldnt get out of other xes. But if i did a small mongrelly looking bitch like my mates who gets given the chance to hunt is what id use. There is a deerstalker i know who has a malixshepheard he uses for tracking and the dog will often catch bonus deer. Atb
  8. If i was going to breed one of this type my mate has a bitch who is brilliant. She is quite small and mongrelly but she will hunt ANYTHING. She gets taken ferreting and lamping aswell as just mooching and she has taken more deer than most lurchers.
  9. Them pups look cracking. Fairplay to that old dog aswell. Atb
  10. Well done to falcon dogs and owners. All the best for next season.

  12. Thats my sort of dog !! Fire of the wheaten calmness of the saluki. You have a dog for anything there. All the best with it.
  13. Nice mate. I used to live near the beenham wolf trust and hearing them howling at night was pretty crazy.
  14. I should be sble to help mate.
  15. Well done mate hes comming on now. All the best
  16. Yes i know someone who is bringing one on at the minute. Not my sort of dog but he catches plenty with it for a young dog so it must have something about it. Ive only been out with it twice and its a very clingy sensitive animal. But very tough and has stamina to burn. It does pick and choose its runs though and its very hyper active. I should have a suitable pic somewhere. Atb
  17. I think they would make good little pot fillers. I saw one kill 4 hares on the lamp aswell as a few rabbits
  18. That ain't the shepherd coming out....every working shepherd iv owned or trained and thats a lot has been bidable a will give it 100% when asked.....the only other option is that you've used pet/show gsd blood and its just shite anyway.....No wonder he left a dog with keepers rather than give them a hare Weasle is this all you do now just have digs at people ?? I seem to remember you had some good stuff to say but now all you seem to do is annoy ??
  19. and if he's asking because he just took in a neglected/rescue thats been left in a kennel all it's life? pleanty protien,,,if he gettin excirced well,,,,ull find greyhound food roughly 28% protien will help keep his weight on while he,s gettin him fitt I find my dogs LOSE condition if fed complete food that too high in protien. I feed mine a mix of minced rabbit chicken and beef pasta brown bread ect. There are getting dogs muscled up and there is getting them fit. Start of the season mine are jogged beside the bike starting of with a couple of miles then working my way upto 7 or 8.
  20. exactly mate. Dogs been worrying sheep, farmers been shooting dogs since time began. It happens. I know guys who have dished out punishment to a farmer not for shooting there dog but for catching them poaching and grassing them up. Big brave guys that need Dutch courage thinking its a laff to do stuff back. If the farmer ever caught them, they'd be silage Aye its funny aint it how these big hard blokes aint the balls to chap on the farmers/keepers door and have a word, threads like this really show the true character of some of the people on here. there was a new keeper up this way shot a bo

  22. No shooting sheep and having EVERY f****r on the land if its a running dog thats been shot is very common.same with a pet dog. Like i said ive been in the situation a few times and sometimes its better just to say if your dog isnt under control in here i will be in my rights to shoot it.how much does your avarage sheep cost ?? A couple of hundred ??? Is it really worth having all your equipment nicked your car f****d ect. Im not against shooting dogs ive done it before and under the right circumstance i would do it again. BUT its all too easy for gamekeepers and landowners to say they will "
  23. No not at all. Under the right circumstance blast away. But too many farmers and gamekeepers regard shooting a dog as a badge of honour and then cry when pens equipment snd family members are getting grief.
