  1. i've a few recipes for rat. but first i must insist that you only use rats that have had their systems purged, by keeping them in captivity, feeding them only carrots and peanuts(increases the taste) and letting them drink only goats milk, the purging takes at least 3 weeks but can be longer. recipe 1: first you char the rat over a fire to singe the hair, gut it and remove its head and tail, boil 2x 100g rats in 500ml red wine and 100ml vinegar, for 25 mins at a rolling boil, add 6 turns of ground black pepper, 2 pinches of salt. boil further for 1hr with the lid on, remove lid and allow th
  2. well i sent my ticket in to get my address changed on the 2nd of june, the firearms officer came out to check the cabinets/safes yesturday, still no cert back, says i should get it by early jan 2011
  3. could well be the matrix, they are the low point of the heating system so silt up, try flushing them out with a water hose, but be careful in this cold weather while taking of the pipes, as the pipes to the matrix through the bulkhead are a brittle plastic, flush both ways, as i said be very careful, as replacing the heater matrix is a dash out job in a disco 200tdi
  4. they are great, torque in more places, easier run, more powerful, and most importantly dont break as often as original. easily converted, need a engine to gearbox adaptor plate, the radiator from v8, expansion bottle from v8 and twin electric fans, the fourtrak engine seems to run hotter than the landy, so better rad and fans keeps you sweet. good luck
  5. so is there any nice places in scotland to pay to shoot roe deer?
  6. hi. i'm looking to do some roe shooting in scotland. i'm wanting some advice on best places to go (estates), rates i should pay, etc. i dont want to be ripped of on my first deer. i'm doing my dsc1 in jan 2011, want to be sure i'm spending wisely i shoot a .222 on fox here in northern ireland, but cant shoot deer, as min cal here is .236", not fussed if i use my own rifle or pay to use. i'm all insured up, and half sensible. p.m me please. cheers

  15. just a question aimed at the oz and nz pig men. they say that they dont like pits or dogo's, so is there a chance that the best pig holder and catcher is a dog not on the dda list. surely a watered down lurcher version of this dog would be the best all-round slightly larger game taker,

  22. is it illegal to hunt fox with dogs in uk, i thought all the stuff on the news for past 5 years was just a cunning stunt to put folk off however in n.i its ok, but not with a midget dog consistently
  23. it is possible to get an underslung lpg tank, just need to have a look to see where it could go. you hit the nail on the head when you said enjoy it as a series, it is a series not a tdci 90, good luck and enjoy
  24. been there done than 200tdi will fit to series gearbox, but will still be slow. fitting range rover axles is a nightmare up front, if trying for power steering. if i was you i would get a 200tdi and lt77 gearbox from a rotten disco.put a landy 90 transfer box on, retro fit them into the series, leave the axles and fit 90 diffs remember you have a points system to work to if you want to keep it a series at moy. in this guise i'd opt for 235/85 r16 or 7.5r16 if its early or tax free, i'd get a nice rebuild on the 2 1/4 petrol, get a zeneith carb, good series 3 syncro gearbox with overdri
