  1. i work in security in a major supermarket/shopping centre. vast majority of shoplifting is done by seemingly wealthy people. had a case just before crimbo, a woman walked in, put 6 bottles of perfume in her bag and walked out, as she left the building she was arrested. from her gucci bag she produced 6 bottles of perfume, a rangers shirt with security tag still in it (not from shop we are in), a raw gammon, and keys to a bentley (later confirmed as a continental gt). she obviously wasn't skint, so why steal. especially a gers shirt, why not steal something good
  2. ray mears goes hunting, he also does work training with the british army
  3. the dog will answer that question its self, in its own time proper answer, guessing won't do anything i suppose, cheers
  4. I've a pup with bull, collie, whippet and grey in her, 8 months old 21", shes racy looking. shes seen nothing yet. Question is, what quarry other than rabbits could realistically be taken on her own
  5. is the gearbox auto or manual. if its auto, then the valve block on the box is different, if its manual, then stick in the fourtrak 2.8td, its an amazing engine, it will fit to the box with an adaptor plate
  6. it would put hairs on your teeth
  7. get a soft boiled egg mix it together with coleslaw & brown sauce then simply stuff this into the cavity of a raw gutted mackeral.tie the fish closed with some strong string. then place in the microwave for 2:30 mins (750w). take it out and "butter" the fish with marmite/peanut butter/marmalade/pva glue, and sprinkle with bread crumbs/sand/hair, put into the fridge for 2 hours to marinade, then enjoy. best served with still warm (fresh) goats milk or rhubarb smoothy

Buggery buggery dude this post is from 2004, hope he didn't wait on your advice before making his mind up lol
  9. just checked out that aco stuff, don't think its right for me. looks like i'll have to lift the slabs and put more of a fall on to the ground, then a concrete channel at the end of them, directing water and pee into a grating then 4" pipe to the sewer
  10. theres an awful lot of concrete between pens and the sewer about 12', 35' of garden and 16' of drive way brick pavia. i can do the work myself so not gonna be a fortune craigyboy, i'm taking your word as an expert, on not using the soak away, if its not gonna work, then bugger that. looks like i'm cutting a trench in my concrete. 1:40, is that the right ball park for run on waste pipe.
  11. i'm wanting to put in drainage to my dog pens. I can't access the main sewer, so i've been thinking of digging a trench the length of the kennels, 12' long, maybe 1' wide, and 2' deep, then filling it with 1" stone and quarry dust. I'm worried that it will act as a sump rather than a soak away for the urine, and stink. any better ideas. the 2 pens are 12'x6' each. the floors are paving slabs and are grouted
  12. only prob i find with top handle, is that when you cut through the log, the tip of the bar can end up very close to my knackers. if i'm not careful, distance between bar handle and throttle handle is very close making control harder
  13. your forgetting that a bad driver could get a tank stuck on a football pitch
  14. fiskars brush hook, got mine from b&q couple years ago, real good piece of gear
  15. i saw humpback whales in hawaii, snorkelled in a cage beside galapagos sharks in hawaii, seen 50-60 dolphins whilst on my way to isle of man on the ferry. seen huge basking shark on the way home. but the weird highlight of my marine creature spotting life, was mid way between san pedro l.a and hawaii, i witnessed 6 sword fish breach, such a sight. think i even got photos of all above. also seen orcas in sea world, san diego. got some amazing pics of them fully out of the water
  16. nothing wrong with the petrol engine in the shoguns, well the 3.0 anyway. they do around 24 mpg in the auto version. better chance of getting all the bells and whistles in the v6 petrol, i.e rear locker, leather. watch out for rot on the archs and front valance. chassis usually good.
  17. on the plus side, autos are usually better spec, don't know why, but they tend to have few better bits. both my cars are auto, i had auto only license until recently, but can't see me getting a manual, just because i'm now allowed to drive it.
  18. i work permanent nights, this last 8 years. i do nothing special, on the day that i start back, i get up at 9 or 10 am, stay up all day, go to work at 7pm, do my 12 hr shift, go home clean funked out, but stay up until 10 am. and have no probs sleeping until alarm clock goes off. and thats me set for the week.
  19. its a fella offering a reward for stolen whippet pups, not selling
  20. bragging about stealing something, why oh why? you admit it wasn't really near a sett, so wasn't trying to i.d folk digging pigs. just a thief, scummy thing to do
  21. why do people feel the need to be fully camo'd up for a nights lamping. its dark ffs.
  22. read what he said. he wants to know how the airedale terriers prey drive is. didn't mention breeding. Read what I said ..... I was being SARCASTIC !! If you don't know what that means....Google it ! i know well what it means, but your sarcastic remarks didn't make sense or have any relevence to the question asked. why not try answering questions with a genuine response from time to time. to answer the original question, i've seen 1 airedale that was interested in hunting, the owner has 5 airedales, and few lurchers. dogs all had the chance to show their minerals, but only 1
