  1. Sounds like you could do with applying for a .222 and leaving the air rifle at home, with all those Charlies around
  2. You can get rid of the twang just as easily in .177, however they will always be a bit snappier to shoot, but with a quicker lock time, I find most .177 springers benefit from a heavy silencer or muzzle weight to reduce flip, all except the 99s which for some strange reason does not seem to suffer muzzle flip despite being so light
  3. The power limit in Germany is 7.5 joules, which is 6ftlbs, so if you buy one from Germany you will need a new spring, I suspect in the factory, they just whack a spring in from a job lot, put aside for the export market, where power levels are higher IE us the UK, I wish they would take a leaf out of the likes of AA or indeed Walther, but I guess, they are so well established, and sell so many rifles, they have no need to bother, that is until sales begin to suffer badly, then they might return to the way they used to come out, say in the 80s.
  4. Hence why my CZ 511 semi wont cycle them very well, with Eley it cycles perfectly, and is very accurate.
  5. Cheers, its ideal for somebody starting out, nothing complicated, but all works well, has hatched a lot of duck and pheasant eggs, and the dull emitter bulbs are the business.
  6. Just hope those drummers make it through, me and Seeker have a permission quite local, that used to be crawling with them, then numbers dropped drastically, last year around this time, similar to yours, lots of drummers around, I was thinking good leave them alone and let them breed, a few weeks later gone I know its not shooting as we are the sole permission holders, there are a few adults around this year but so far not seen a young un, so fingers crossed, but I have another farm, well 3 actually in Derbyshire that is hopping with them, but must say my heart is in my mouth everytime I visit
  7. One Hova-bator thermal air incubator, in good working order, will hold a lot of eggs, all instructions included, pus a new heat lamp with top quality dull emitter bulb fitted again in good working order, a full set up to get you going, £55.00 for the pair, grab a bargain, pick up South Yorks or could post at cost, cheers.
  8. Took this in with a rifle deal, it has never been used and is`like new, flip up amber filter, 2 chargers, new battery, all in mint condition, very easy to mount to a rifle, with the attached mount, on and off in seconds, and a pressure switch that goes on the stock, brilliant little lamping kit for air rifle or Rimfire, £50.00 pick up South Yorkshire, or will post at cost, pm me for details, cheers.
  9. Nice looking rifle pal, and yes its what you get used to, my Lynx .177 with Bisley mags, is bang on from 15- 32 yards, 45 yards 1 mil dot, and bang on the money @ 60 with two, despite my max shooting range with an air rifle on live quarry being 40 yards normally, I dropped a pigeon stone dead out of a tree @ 67 yards the other night, the only reason I took the shot was my mate clipped it as his scope had lost zero for some inexplicable reason, so I had no choice, dropped like a stone looking forward to hearing your exploits when its tuned mate.
  10. So who has heard the Cuckoo this year? I heard the first one on Wed 13th of May, in a place where I have not heard it for years, I always think it is the start of summer properly when I hear it for the first time.
  11. Sorry to hear about your mum, yes disgusting, these places should be run to the highest standards possible, but sadly, as more and more foreign workers barely able to speak English are employed, standards will fall, I am sure there are care homes that employ English care staff that are poorly run too, the whole racket needs to be looked into, and sorted.
  12. I must be having a déjà vu mate. Do you have these quotes written down somewhere by chance?? Lol no mate, but these questions arise so often, repetition is inevitable I am afraid, what the fu*k, I am right though
  13. He could not understand flat trajectory lol
  14. That they are inferior to .177, ok for a bit of plinking though
  15. Cracking rifle mate, shame about the crap calibre tuned and fettled, it will be very smooth in .22 I have to say, I might be inclined to get the Welsh Willy tuning kit for it, I had one brand new .177 of course, when they first came out, bloody hell is it that long ago , nothing and I mean nothing my mates had came close, in fact the only thing that could touch it was my tuned BSF b55 bavaria, which Mac was a .22 lol. I would be interested to see how easy the trigger block is to unscrew, as I have heard recently they seem to be locktighting them on, and you are having to apply so much heat t
  16. Just another terrorist piece of shit elevated to celebrity status, like that murdering old bas*ard Mandela, fuc*ing disgraceful
  17. I am already thinking of offering help to bring the dog on, charitable soul that I am
  18. Penty of advice on here about approaching landowners Trigger, basically look smart, no cammo, try every bloody where you can no matter how big or small, dont be afraid to ask, they can only say no, you will get lots of knock backs, but keep on trying and you WILL get some land, and a word of advice, do not start your pitch with " could I please use my airgun etc" a lot of farmers still regard airguns as toys totally unsuitable for killing rabbits etc (they are not of course) ask if you can do some vermin shooting, if the farmer asks what with tell him airgun and shotgun, then get your shotgun
  19. Cos they are rarely from Yorkshire pal, thats what done it and they are always hairy and have rough hands.
  20. Hello and welcome, are you planning on hunting the dog? I assume you are, where abouts in Yorks you from, Im from S Yorks, and I like the tats mate
  21. I will see what the reviews make of it, and then make up my mind, I must say I would prefer the bigger one as the option is always there to stick it on a cf as well as an air rifle/rimmy, if its still useable at closer range.
  22. Thats kind of what I was thinking, I just cant see me putting one on the cenerfire to be honest, I would prefer an add on if I went down night vision route on the big rifle, hmmmm decisions decisions
