  1. Nice one, and just remember to keep using the none toxic pellets for the ducks mate
  2. Plenty of others TNT spring to mind, oh and you could get them to send you a bankers draft, its as good as cash but only you can cash it.
  3. Laird Rake Aboot is your man, he owns a large tract of land in your area, he will no doubt be happy to help, I happen to know he needs some Muntjac culling, so if you have a deer rifle he will be delighted to hear from you I am sure, over to you your Laird ship.
  4. Ok mate, had you cleaned it prior to missing the roe? Then when you got it "spot on" did you clean it again? What I am getting at mate is that some rifles wont shoot to point of aim clean, and need several rounds down them to foul the rifling with copper, then come back to zero, It might be worth taking it out, shooting a group you are happy with, then take it home, do not clean it, then take it out again and see if it shoots to point of aim again, the fact that you say it was spot on suggests that the crown is ok or it would not zero at all, if you have eliminated all the above, then the logi
  5. Bank transnfer is fine, or get them to send a cheque and wait for it to clear
  6. Wooow hold your horses fella, now I dont know if the barrel on your rifle is meant to be free floating or pressure bed, but the easy way to find out is to take off the stock and see if there is a bedding area touching the underside of the barrel, if it has then it is pressure bed by the factory, now if you wish to remove it and float the barrel is up to you, but it would be the very last thing I would look at, 1. are you cleaning the rifle between shooting it? 2.do you have a moderator fitted? If so is it lined up properly and not coming loose?
  7. It looks slightly odd where the pistol grip falls away at the rear of the bolt, and does not have the savage accu trigger, but I expect a little careful fettling by a riflesmith will sort the trigger, if you find a load that it likes I am sure it will be a good pot filler, are you going to reload for it? As with all rifles this is key to getting the best out of them.
  8. They were deadly mate, if they still made em (wish they did) I would go and buy a .22 lol.
  9. Dont bugger about with changing barrels mate, just buy a quality .243 or .25-06 and use it on everything, you will regret buying a barrel swapper, they are more trouble than they are worth.
  10. Will do mate and I will keep my eye on the op that you have given permission to as well, now where is lord Rake?
  11. Had a trawl of the net earlier and came across a site that has a small amount of these, they will sell you 5 I think for about 3 quid, its a shame they dont still make them we all thought they were brill, I remember shooting quite a lot of game with these, and I recall them being bloody deadly.
  12. Thanks send me a permission letter will you? are there any rare species or anything I can have a crack at? no I will tell the visitors Lapin sent me so should be ok
  13. Oh can I go on there Lapin? sounds great, shoot a dozen bunnies, then nip in the cafe for tea and scones
  14. Laird Rake is your man, he has swathes of land around that area I believe, he is usually happy to help out with permissions, I know he needs some deer culling up there as well if you have a cf rifle
  15. I remember using these back in the eighties, the steel head does not come into contact with the rifling, only the plastic skirt, I remember shooting the odd bunny and squirrel with them, but never bought any more, so cant have been too impressed, does anyone remember the sabo rounds that you used a pen type of afair to load the thing into your barrel? it was I think a .172 calibre copper jacketed bullet inside a plastic sabot case, they were bloody expensive but very good we all used them at one time and they were very accurate and killed very well.
  16. Sub 12ftlbs .177 everytime for me, I have always found it to kill better than .22, others may disagree, but this is a debate that has existed forever and will continue to no doubt.
  17. The moly thread guard will work well, I just use a dab of lt2 grease which as you know is a moly based product, it never ceases to amaze me that people who have spent several hundres pounds or possibly a lot more on a gun, dont bother to do simple things to maintain the gun, just take the chokes out now and again clean any residue from them and apply a dab of grease, 10 minutes work that can save a fortune.
  18. Im scratched to hell mate, my arm is covered in them, washing my hair early on and felt a sharp pain,it was a thorn stuck in the top of my head which i didnt realise was there lol. Climbing the cliff took it out of me big time, couldnt breath by the time i got down ha Should not laugh but I thought that kind of thing only happened top me
  19. No you are not there is no requirement in law to do so.
  20. Ring Gamebore up and ask them for a list of your nearest stockist
  21. Sounds like it might be time to remove a coil, you can always fine tune it with the washers you took out.
  22. Looks a nice pistol that, reminds me of the old BSA scorpion I had, shot a few bunnies at close range with that, good luck with the sale mate.
  23. Got a cracking army 2 ring petrol stove in excellent condition, £30 if thats any good mate? And I am in Sheffield pal.
