I have had a few over the years, shot tons of stuff with them, check the wood on the pump arm is not cracked (common fault) check the power as a lot were turned up above the limit, check the scope mounting rails are not chewed up, as people used to over tighten them, you can still get all the bits for them, and they are easy enough to strip, the problem with the innova was you could not pump the damn thing without pressing on the scope, which used to cause problems, not so with the Sharp ace, a real peach of a rifle, I would have another tomorrow if I could find a nice .177 one.

Advice On Damaged Bottle Threads Please Gents
charlie caller replied to Rabid's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Load of crap mate, a chancer trying it on, ignore him and forget about it, if he was genuine, sure the right thing to do would be refund him or pay for the repair, but this is far too fishy, forget him. -
Advice From .222 Shooters
charlie caller replied to belly47's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Well all I can say is my .22lr moderator stays on all the time without problems, a CF mod should be removed everytime, my first choice in ammo (although you must try a selection) would be Hornady, Sako, and Federal, my mates .222 hates winchester, but of course yours may love them, if yours likes Hornady, you will find them the most explosive on foxes, literally, but as Underdog says, you will most likely settle for 50gn or less, the PPU may shoot well in your rifle, my .243 does not like them much, but I find them quite a hard bullet more suited to deer than fox, I would stick to something -

No a .22 or .17 hmr dont produce the kind of corrosive crap and moisture that a centerfire does. -
H110 and Sierra 45gn varminter were deadly in mine on foxes out to 200 yards plus, cracking rifle the hornet, wish I still had mine sometimes.

Advice From .222 Shooters

.222 wont need a great deal of cleaning, Tikka are an excellent rifle, well done, as Underdog says forest foam is good, just make sure you get a quality rod and brush, I would aim to clean it every 150 rounds or so, but I would not get overly worried about it, more rifles are ruined by over enthusiastic cleaning than anything else, my mates has not been cleaned for 10 years and it shoots half inch groups @ 175 yards. I would make sure whatever you do remove the moderator after every use, not doing so is the quickest way to rot the crown and bore on your rifle, I remove the mod every time on my -
No idea, phone BASC or your local firearms licensing dept for advice.

Yes mate it does make it longer, not sure about uglier though, I am sure the weight can be removed, there is a grubscrew, but when you undo it, nothing happens, I suspect its locktighted on, so heat would be required to remove it, I rather like it personally, but each to his own. -
I cant be arsed with bottles, when I have a pcp its a pump everytime for me, good tricep workout too

It is not a silencer mate, its a barrel weight, you unscrew a cap to expose the thread, so the requirement is a silencer the same diameter as the barrel weight so it matches up, on one of these a silencer is an absolute must, they are unbelievably quiet. -
When I got mine, I knew it was something special right away, then a neck shot on a pheasant @35 yards confirmed it to me, in fact you have set me off wanting another now lol.

Dont like to say I told you so Mark lol.

Get some PURE silicon oil mate, and as for the dri slide, you cant go wrong with muc-off ptfe dri slide chain lube, its on fleabay in little spray cans, for around a fiver, very good stuff indeed, just make sure you check your rifles power, not only just after tuning, but after a few hundred pellets, as they can creep up mate, and dont put moly grease on the spring, moly paste, or red rubber grease, and make a thorough job of de greasing it before you do anything, it pays dividends mate.

I do like the under lever Tim by the way have you got any further with the Kral or has it beat you as well lol atvbjimmy  Yes and no mate, I am waiting for a scope to arrive for it, I have done some fettling, polished the life out of the hammer and tried a few hammer springs, I think I have found the sweet spot, around 160 bar down to about 110 bar, it is shooting consistently and most of the twang has gone, its a strange pcp for sure, it seems to favour light pellets which as you know is normally the preserve of springers, I am looking forward to getting it scoped -

Told ya Mark now get it stripped, de grease it remove the Walther gunk, polish the hell out of the spring ends, relube it lightly, not much on the spring, and fit a top hat and slip washer, it makes them even smoother (if you can imagine that) oh and wait until you fit a silencer, you wont Adam and Eve it mate, good choice, top quality rifle. -
Rez yes its a complete replacement, with proper adjusters, have a look on their site, shows it, the cheaper alternative is to get the match trigger from Sportwaffen in the fatherland, but it wont be as good, comparing an out of the box 97 to an lgv is like comparing a fiesta to an Audi r8, one twangs and bounces about, the other is smooth planted and much quicker, (as in lock time) which is phenomenal.
