  1. Strangely enough (as I hate bullpups) I rather like it, it would be better all black, but ye kinda like that.
  2. I use the aerosol spray but Im sure that will be fine mate, its good stuff.
  3. Selling for a pal who has no pc, .177 HW95, comes with sling swivels, Webley pro system silencer, and a superb Simmons pro diamond scope, the proper Philippine made model, really nice glass, it shoots nicely at 11.2 ftlbs, the odd minor mark on the stock, but nothing serious, would make a cracking tuning project, or straight into the field pot filler, pick up South yorks, or post at cost, good buy at £210, cheers.
  4. OEE?LOP? OEE..overall equipment effectiveness LOP..loss of production....all to do with percentage's to make profit blah blah.. Can go deep....really deep if ya fancies it Rezzy Xx Dont be offering to go deep with him mate, he will be round in his leather mask.
  5. No mate its not an older 99, they dont have piston weights or a cocking shoe like an , state of that fu*ing piston seal, dear oh dear, de grease the whole insides of the cylinder until its Uber clean, the piston seal wants nothing but a dab of silicon oil around the edges, with all that grease the seal would have melted with dieseling after a short time if shot a lot.
  6. Well while you are at it mirror polish the spring ends, it makes quite a difference no wonder you could smell dieseling then pal, use dri slide on the piston, trust me, or ultimox 226 if you are brave enough to pay the price lol.
  7. And just to add old chap, if you did happen to make a mess of the barrel, you can get a brand new .22 barrel for it delivered to your door from the Fatherland for about £50
  8. I would not knock the pins out mate, undo the screws and take the barrel off, watch out not to bend the two washers underneath.
  9. Get the damn thing in bits before all that crap inside does any damage, you can spend as long as you like fettling before the kit comes, get some dri slide for the piston pal and some silicon oil for the seal.
  10. Shortening the barrel on a 99 never seems to increase muzzle flip, the recoil, (what there is of it after a tune) always seems to come straight back, but what it will do in my experience, is make it rather pellet fussy, maybe yours would be different, but that is my, and others experience, as shortening the barrel will remove the choke at the end, I would not bother with a bit of bean can or whatever as a piston liner, they seem to play with the consistency on a 99.
  11. Still for sale, really surprised this has not gone yet, cracking little 95 for someone, with a top quality scope, I hope someone buys it soon, or I might have to
  12. Richard, I would not bother shortening the barrel too much mate, but if you want to get it screw cut then an inch or 3 wont matter, another alternative, if you want to quieten it down, is to buy a Conceptus silencer they will post to you from Poland, the one you want is the 15mm slide on one which is secured by locktite, they are very very good indeed, and sleeve over the barrel quite a bit, so dont add much length at all, if you do decide to fit one you will have to grind down the grooves for your forsight before fitting, as to the Vortek seal mate, it will make a big difference, if I had kno
  13. That nicely resembles the grouping the hunters give in my Brocock mate, I really rate them.
  14. Ring Tony on 07912466917 very nice chap to deal with, and he will send you a Vortek seal in the post.
  15. Get a Vortek piston seal ordered straight away if the kit you have bought does not include a seal, it makes a BIG difference, you have to resize it yourself, but its an easy job, keep us posted pal.
  16. Thankyou sir, I am glad you enjoy the TX now, they are a pleasure to work on, if I got enough interest I would consider tuning selected spring rifles on a part time basis, not particularly for the money, mainly so people got a genuine tune, and their spring rifle was pretty much as good as its going to get.
  17. I think you will enjoy the 99 Richard, personally I would not even bother firing it (assuming its brand new) I would strip it, and totally de grease it internally, remove all the swarf and VERY carefully check the piston seal, the last two new ones I stripped were very poor inside, lots of factory turnings and some embedded in the piston seal, a new vortek seal sorted the job, a tip mate......... make sure you de burr the edges of the little square holes when you have removed the metal blocks that hold the internals secure, before refitting the piston into the cylinder, as they can very easily
  18. Any time you want CC your more than welcome atvbjimm Splendid sir, what kind of deer you got pal? Love to see people bag their first buck
  19. Perhaps I should come up and bring the deer rifle Mac, sure you would like some venison in the freezer
  20. Like many others, both on here and in the wider community I started with air rifles, got my shotgun certificate when I was seventeen, and have had both fullbore and smallbore section one rifles for many years now, despite all that and the firepower and extended range that they bring, I will always have an air rifle, as much as I enjoy deer stalking, foxing, etc, there is still a great deal of pleasure to be had from sitting in a wood using an air rifle, air rifles teach you field craft, they can be safely used where a firearm would be dangerous and perhaps most importantly for a lot of us (cert
  21. Yep it does not surprise me, very poor indeed, what a stark contrast to my Walther LGV when I stripped it, everything super clean, lubed (almost) correctly, and the engineering was worlds apart from HW and even Air arms, what a shame a classic German air rifle maker has let things slip to such an extent.
  22. Right I am selling this rifle for a pal who does not have a pc, .177 HW 95 fitted with Webley pro system silencer, sling swivels, and a very very nice Simmons pro diamond 3-9X40 which is a genuine Philippine made scope, made when Simmons were at the top of their game, the rifle has a few marks on the stock, but nothing major, and is actually a nicely grained dark stock, it shoots spot on, and I tested it for him at 11.2 ftlbs just the other day, it would make a great tuning project, or a straight into the field pot filler, well worth the £210 asking price, I would prefer a face to face sale,
