  1. Get the master pro in .177,its the best one, and the stock aint bad either, install a Rowan trigger kit, and it will be THE best spring gun you will ever own, also pm me for little tips to get the best out of them lol.
  2. Looks legit to me mate,if you pay by credit card or paypal, you are covered anyway, go for it, by the way get a decent silencer for it, you will not believe a springer can be so quiet.
  3. If i was to do all that i would be spending my money on a second hand gun It takes about an hour mate, it just finishes off what is a superb product, in all honesty, just making sure the grease that Walther lob in on production has not got past the piston seal is all that is needed, but I like to buff things to a gleaming shine, so to speak, now new HWs require a sight more attention out of the box.
  4. Superb rifle mate, absolutely simple to strip, all they need is a de grease, a polish of the spring ends, and the end of the piston rod, a re lube with a light smear of moly paste, red rubber grease, or similar on the spring, a squirt of dri slide on the piston bearings, and a light smear of silicon oil round the piston seal edges, the power will creep up as it beds in, they usually start about 10.8 ftlbs and after a 1000 pellets or so sit at around 11.6ftlbs, when I stripped mine I added a power washer, which took the power to 11.5 ish but after it bedded in I removed it as it was getting a li
  5. Good on you mate, the CZs are a cracking rifle, they really are, .222 is not really heavy on barrels, but I would get it borescoped if at all possible, just for your piece of mind, but those mini Mauser actions do take some beating, even better if you can try the rifle before buying, whatever you go for, good luck with it, you wont be disappointed with the .222
  6. .222 is a fine choice, and did hold the world benchrest accuracy record in the 50s, my mate has a CZ 527 in .222 and with Rem accutip rounds it will group 1/2 inch at 175 yards, the .222 is far from a dying round and still has a huge following, I would look at a nice, little used, CZ 527 as my first choice, reloading is far from the dark art it first appears to be, and there is lots of advice out there,my advice........... get yourself a rifle you are happy with, try a few different factory rounds in it to establish what it likes, save the cases from the preferred round, (as these will be the o
  7. Get it stripped and de greased asap, so if there are any factory turnings floating around, they will not embed themselves in the piston seal, a good polish of the piston, spring ends, end of the piston rod, and a decent top hat and delrin spring guide, such as the very good and inexpensive Tinbum kits, will transform it, a little moly paste or red rubber grease on the spring, some dri slide on the piston and some silicon oil around the piston seal, job done.
  8. I have only owned the LGV Mark, and my goodness was it accurate, and the first time I put a silencer on it, I thought there was something wrong with it, I have NEVER experienced a level of quietness like it in a spring rifle, it was almost pcp quiet, as I have said the only gripe for me is the trigger, its serviceable, but not as good as the other big two, but apparently with a Rowan kit, is every bit as good, will I have another? too damn right I will one day.,
  9. Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but the Walther LGV or LGU are the best out of the box springer, in fact better than a lot of "tuned" springers, the trigger is not quite as good as HW or AA but can be sorted with a kit from Rowan engineering, they are silky smooth, ridiculously quiet, and engineered inside to a level HW or AA can only dream about.
  10. I once drove out to one of my permissions in Derbyshire, took the .22 hornet out of the slip, and attempted to slide the bolt in, after a couple of minutes swearing I realised I had taken the bolt for the .22 rimfire, oooops.
  11. Anti tamper as already said is not a legal requirement in the UK, it is however a pain in the arse, introduced for ONE reason, to make gunshops, and manufacturers MONEY, so Fred Blogs goes down to his local RFD, he buys an almost new but secondhand, Brocockairarmsdaystatethingymabob, he takes his proud new purchase home, a couple of days later his mate appears with his chrono, he admires the new rifle and then tests it, F..k me pal its doin 13.2 ftlbs, it cant be says Fred its got anti tamper fitted, WELL YES IT CAN, and this is why I hate anti tamper, it stops people turning an illegal rifle
  12. Another happy Vortek user, anyone contemplating a kit/seal, please bear in mind they ALL come oversized, for obvious reasons, but as our OP mentioned a couple of careful minutes in a drill with some super fine wet and dry(please use water) as it helps to stop the seal overheat, and creates a lovely smooth finish, I am going to try the kit in a .177 99S, to test the legal limit .177 99 theory, if it works as I have no doubt it will, the 99 will be worth shooting in the best sub 12 air rifle calibre.
  13. Mate get a sample pack of HanN Baraccuda hunter extreme, 19 grain, if your rifle likes them, you wont want another hunting pellet, only used them in .177, but boy do they pack a punch,
  14. Im speechless mate really, however there may be a problem mate, wont go into it here but have sent you a pm bud.
  15. Very nice indeed sir, yes please where did you get the tent?
  16. Because I do have a certain knack for calling the foxes in
  17. Out of interest Phil how much will the fac rapid be mate?
  18. Yep Phillips barrel solvent removes lead, carbon, fouling and any suggestion of oil or grease, I use it to clean my .243 its great stuff.
  19. Totally agree, get it borescoped, it may just need a good chamber scrub, I have seen rifles with the same problem, and a chamber scrub with a good carbon remover like Phillips sorted most of them, it would be helpful if you could put a picture of the cases up mate, but even if it is rust, as DF says a reamer would sort it.
  20. And yet his groups well with the Weihrauch magnums, which of course are exactly the same pellet as good old Bisley magnums, produced by the venerable H&N factory.
