  3. Good on yer fella..Good read. Keep trying your other ferret mate I'm sure he'll come good just a bit behind the other thats all it often happens. Hemp nets are great nets to work with but as matt241075 quiet rightly says they are not built to last and 6oz+ spun nylon nets are just as good.in my honest opinion they are even better. Good to see that your in it for the right reasons....Well done ATB
  4. Well done chap..Chuffed for you that he's back safe and sound. Was he still in the earth or had he wondered off whilst you were away mate. ATB
  5. I think this one is down to your own opinion mate. take him out now and to be honest the chances of him catching anything is slim BUT and its a big but it is possible to contract the parvo virus after they have had their first jab but largely depends on the pup in question and how it accepted its first jab. It is quite rare but it dose happen trust me.After seeing it first hand(Thankfully not with a pup I owned)I would never risk it again as I must admit to doing in the past. For the sake of a couple of weeks is it realy worth it...Only you can decide mate. ATB

  13. Have you tried the keepers around you mate? They are usualy a good place to start. They will probably expect a bit of graft in return but if you can get in with one or two of them it should be worth it. ATB

  18. To be honest If somebody is happy to dig to their terrier whilst its marking a bunny then thats up to them even if it does sound a little strange to me. My issue with earth dogs markng rabbits is i've known and seen far to many terriers killed in deep places with tight tubes. Surely if you want a dog to work bunnys get one for the job and let him enjoy it without worry and break your earth dogs to rabbits and keep him away from them all together. Its a hard enough to loose one of our little workers at the best of times even though we all know its a risk we take but personly if I allowed a
  19. Good on yer chap!!!! Great to see a sencible hunter who obviously cares more about the dogs passion for work than his wallet. Somebody is going to get a bargin and a set up that should last them for years by the sound of it. Hat off to you. ATB
  20. Our season has started of quite well too be honest.not getting massive numbers yet with the ferrets but still getting some good sport. Getting pleanty Bushing in the cover with the dogs and having some of the best nights lamping with the lurchers we have had for years.Stacks sitting to close to the cover for a race at night so sighns are looking good for when we get the proper weather. Hope your season picks up mate. ATB
  21. In my honest opinion I think Stubby has hit the nail on the head.I spent the best part of twenty years keeping only one hob for breeding and only working small jills because I thought I new better and Large hobs would frequently kill underground and I would spend half my life digging. But a few years ago I tryed this hob as I had promised somebody I would do some garden holes for them and my four jills were in the family way. There were young in the burrows and he managed to push them all out without a single kill. Since then I have found him to be the best I have ever had and as I am replacing
