  7. i have not seen a dog stop chasing my dog runs until it drops is this jacking or not because it gives every last bit its got No he isn't...if you have a dog that will run till he drops of course he cant be called a jacker. But be carefull though mate running a dog past it's limits is the quickest and surest way of getting a jacker and if your running him until he drops your running him past his limits. ATB
  8. Smashing pair of dogs you got there BXR look the real deal fella Like that little pat mate.....handy round here at the minute they all seem to be in bloody rabbit places, thats the sort of dog you need to reach em. Got a little patt pup at the moment to run on,only 5 and a half months old from good working stuff,i'm hoping he'll not turn out any bigger than your little fella be good to have a little en again lost one last year in an accident.Feel lost without him ATB
  9. Get em at it fella......You'll be glad you did mate, ATB
  10. If you are lamping from a vehicle then a bit of polysterine( wet it with your tongue) and squeak it down the window, works a treat! Deadly at cub time. This sure does work well esspecialy at cub time as trailler says.I've tryed most types of callers over the years and always go back to squeeking on the back of my hand or my thumb nail.It takes alot of practice to get the different calls right but I find it most consistant when you get it right. ATB
  11. If I'm out on my own I must admit I tend to let my dog walk at heel and run on command but I only ever take one dog out with me at a time. If I'm out with the boys it's always dogs on slips and run one at a time.We like to have a little comp with a pint on it and I've seen to many "solid" dogs get exited whilst another is racing and colide with each other and get injured unnecessarily. I have tryed most types of slips and collars but I find I personly get on best with simple 10mm wide leather dog lead with the clip cut of threaded through a normal lurcher collar. ATB
  12. 15ft thumb wheel stickers on ebay at the moment mate £2.50 buy it now free p&p. Like has been said you want the mrk1 ones mate the mrk2 dosn't have a wheel but the later mrk1's are often refured to as mrk2 Hope this helps ATB
  13. Its a dog every time for me mate....I personaly find that you get what you see with a dog and I find bitches tend to be a little more deceitfull. I just tend to get the best out of a dog were as I struggle to bond with a bitch but maybe the problem is this is already in my head .Dont get me wrong I know some outstanding bitches,Their just not for me.I have only 2 in a kennels of 10 and once they have gone they will be replaced with dogs. ATB
  14. Well done fella...nice pics and write up mate looks like the waterford dog enjoyed himself..happydays ATB

  17. Why do you think its not quite right mate? ATB
  18. Each to their own mate and all that....But surely there is no sence at all in using this dog to a bitch untried. If you have a bitch you wish to breed from and your in the game you must know someone with a decent proven working dog that you could use? Why does your mate think that it would be worth breeding with? surley if he thought it was that good the only way to know would have been to concentrate on getting it working and building a reputation. Dont get yourself lumbered with a litter of pet pups just so your mate can call his dog a stud dog fella or at least put the breeding off for
  19. Stunning photo's mate.....they look fair ol dogs fella.a credit to you mate ATB

  22. I have found that the most effective thing to do when this problem occures is to soak pine cones in diesel for at least 48hrs and roll them down the holes no more than 48hrs before you want to go. Stick a couple down each hole and you should find most of the little critters will be away on their toes. Hope this helps ATB
