  1. Cheers Matt i've been told they rot, but pissing around with tiny twigs in nylon is so irrating! glad you enjoyed the read!
  2. Hiya guys, this is not a question, i just thought i'd tell you about my start to ferreting! well i got 2 hob ferrets in the summer, god knows why, cause i was scared of them when i got them but i got them anyway! i got given a hutch was wasnt big enough for 2 so i build another bottom section in the summer holidays when i was off school, i was immesnly proud cause im a big puff when it comes to stuff like that! cause we all know thats Dad's job! So i got my 2 named them Buddy and Twix! and jut started to get confident with them and handled them a lot and never got bit! still havn
  3. I give them a run every day! For sure, they have a secret passage to the fridge somewhere! I'll give them ago, i'm getting my collar soon if someone post one on here cheap enough! they come to a whistle so with a bit of luck they'll come back to me! They are this years Kits, and i'm looking for a good Jill if anyone has one let me know! Thanks for all the interest though guys!
  4. UGH! JILL TIME I THINK!!! i should hope they are in good condition! they get royal treatment! Bath's, manicures! Goose liver pate'!
  5. Better than mine, I have no collar so I can't go! Rather be out bolting one rabbit for the whole day, then watching Darts :/ WHY DOES NO ONE HAVE COLLARS FOR SALE! APART FROM E-BAY CHARGING ROUGHLY A GRAND FOR A COLLAR! so while you're enjoying yourself, i'm out feeding pheasents for the shoot YIPEE
  6. They are quite Fat arn't they!! I don't even feed them excessivly! I think they're eating there bedding or the cage, or something Fat blighter's! Well I fed them alot of bloody expensive Pate' today whilst trying to train them to a whistle! Didn't go so well as by the time i whistled him too me he had nabbed it from and ran under the shed! Cheeky Minxs!
  7. These are my baby brother's, well not really baby but brothers non the less! There called Buddy & Twix! really tame, never bit me, one was liking my face as the other was having his picture took! You think they are too big? What breed are they?
  8. I'm 16 BTW and what does take her out of season mean, if i vac one hob what will i have to do with the other one? take him out the cage?
  9. Ok so i'm looking for a nice small jill! Anyone know anyone with panda/badger/sandy/pure polecat/black Ferret jill, this years kits Thanks for the help guys! P.s still looking for Mk3 ferret collar
  10. Ok thanks for the help! Cheer's for the confidence boost too! telling me im F****D, thanks for that! I'm not gonna get a Angora, they look smelly! i wouldn't mind a greyhound ferret! (the small ones) But i'm gonna get a jill Hooray for me! Right the plan is, cause they live in the shed, and my dad's kinda scared of them, not to tell him and just say i had it ages ago! so if anyone in the street say's has Thomas wright bough a jill off you recently, you guys know what to say! I want a Tiny Jill! Erm Also Guy's... i don't really want kits.. so will i have to get the 2
  11. I might invest in a jill, i want to get a nice coloured one, e.g. polecat or sandy/champagne But i've heard of a breed called Angora ferret that has long hair! that sounds cool! Also do they have a small breed of ferret anywhere? And i have two brother Hob's who never fight, could I introduce a jill? would she best to be older/younger? should i get them spaded?
  12. Thaaaannnnkss for the help Jai! the whistling trick seemed a good idea, i'll give it a go! Also im new to this stuff, what does ATB mean? i see it everywhere!
  13. Hi everyone! I'm new to this ferreting malarkey but very interested, I was just wondering, ive got 2 6 month old hob's and they're massive! I personally think if they had a fight against my Lab that they'd be victorious! (but just kidding I wouldn't do that! don't fret!) So i was wondering if i put them down the hole, i think they will probably leave me in the "Lay up" situation, so anything i can do to try and prevent this? Some people sugessted muzzles, and stuffing them full of food, or even teeth taking out! Any advice gladly received P.S any one has Mk3 collar
