  2. took me longer to type it with the one finger than it took to dig here she is in the house tonight, a treat before the last day tommorrow, and one of the hole on the 20 foot square piece of dry ground
  3. job well done but they call them vixens over here
  4. went over to the keeper next door but one to us today, we had put off checking the dens due to long lasting snow on the hill.. checked a few but nothing at home, he then took me to a two holer out on a open piece of rashes, grass and heather, it looked a real good place to find the vixen, but the closer we got to it the worse the ground got, several decent springs were active out higher up the hill, it had about 300 yards to spread out before it hit the are of the holes, having cows there all winter didnt help either.. im sure you get the picture... fecking wet and shitty any way on getti
  5. just seen this, it was one of the holes you checked you also checked the deep one in the big wood that bolted just show you what a fortnight can do i think we were to early when you came i was reading the "just shows you what a" and i thought it was going to be followed by " desent dog can find " got one today in a place id have put my house on that a fox would have been in, un real, a real eye opener... keeper said bunnie, the fleck detective said other wise.. will put a thread up later
  6. blackcap ??? a bit smaller than a blackie though and not sure of its body colour
  7. WANKER cruel sod that you are.... well done bud, was that in one of the last holes we checked when i was down??
  8. thats given me a kick up the arse, iv had one for 4 or 5 weeks and its still in the box.... or should i now say , was in the box... cant wait

Remembered to put the nets on this time not sure if ill manage Wednesday but will need you and your terrier or your mate terriers to help bale me out in the next 10 days as I'm running out of dogs The old bitch is to old, the young pup is to young, the inexperienced dog is to inexperienced which leave me with one good dog for the last 7 shoots let us know cheers got two more estates , 2 days each to do up here.. then will manage to get down to you after that... cheers, speak soon
  10. nice looking ground, glad to hear there was some fleck too just shows where she will drop in at this time of year
  11. donny , think you must have upset him..
  12. well heres my thoughts.... were do i start??? a BRITISH fighter whom is winning his fights ( ok against poorish apponants ) is getting no end of stick from the british public, if a year or so ago they had put him in against someone at the top end of his division, and he got turned over, you would all be here giving it the old " what the feck did they put him up against someone like that so early, he was always going to lose" but here we are watching him being brought on slowly and were still not happy....lets be honest who is there out there that you all want too see him fight thats going
  13. some of them were fecking supurb good to see the driver was quick to grab the wheel with his right hand
  14. So if one pops its clogs then i have a back up I think i will probally cull one of the birds in the morning. but lloyd, as your a true country man, and check, feed , and water them daily, ensuring they have plenty of shelter, you wont have much off a problem with them poping there clogs.. but in my opinion, id only have one call bird.. iv found moving the trap even a few metres can help catch the shyer birds that just seam to hop around all day..
  15. thats a strange one.... he dont want a shot from a shot gun but he was happy to let you walk right through the wood.. a strange choice in my opinion if keeping his birds settled was a high priority... in my first season i kept on seeing one near a realease pen, and didnt shoot it for the very same reason, but a fellow keeper said "one shot will spook them for a minute or so, a cat or fox will be spooking them twice a day at least, day in day out" but well done, bet he is well happy, them pussys are worse than a fox, better hunters and far more agile.. i get 3 times more than i do foxs up
  16. did they admit selling it knowing it was on loan?? or is he saying you gave him / sold him the dog.. looks to me like its a "your word against theres, and as far as the filth go they will use the old "posetion is nine tenths of the law.. feel you may be trying to do it the quiet way... jmo.. hope it works out well..
  17. have a look to see if the federation at ovingham / wylam have a web site.... i dont think tyne fish are fussy as far as salmon go, a certain bloke who fishs wylam bridge pool uses a spinning rod, a nut for a weight, and some of the shrabbest tubes you will ever see, and he catchs alot of fish... traditional ally shrimp, cascades, and silver stoats were about the only flys i ever used down there... just had a invite to fish the bridge pool at hexham rool on august
  18. So a smaller calibre will drop a deer if it was to miss bone (ribs) and muscle- sounds logical i suppose. So head shots would be a theorhetical no-no because of the skull?!? is this correct. no id say it was the other way around.. head shot only
