  12. locking a young dog in a pen with a tup your trying to break it to stock not make it terrified.... i just let them see stock of all kinds for as long as possible before they learn that they have the hunt / kill instinct inside them.... i have how ever witnessed a lurcher that was broken to low ground sheep, ie tidy grass fed ones, turn and so a hill sheep, wether its a different smell or what im not sure

  15. before the day of forums etc, a new comer had to go out and learn his trade by there own mistakes, wether its was ferrets. fishing, dogs, etc etc, and imo there is no way better than this to learn, yes they may pick up some theorie on the forums, alot of which will be not so good..
  16. SPARROWS take poults up to about 13 weeks of age, keepers are more worried about the stress on the rest of the pen.. tawnys imo take very few indeed, the worst is when they spook a pen of newly arrived poults in the night. buzzards will take poults upto about 16 or 18 weeks old (almost fully grown) the worst by a million miles is a goshawk, they will kill the first then take to foot and kill 10 or 20 no problem, they are the ultimate ghostly killing machine, topped by none
  17. if you feel a need then please do, put a close up of there beaks for me while your on
  18. most certainly a young ROOK, yes it has hoodie type feathers at the top base of its beak, but young rooks and hoodies both have this, but the tell tale is the lack of thickness at the base of its beak, a hoodie / carrion crow would be alot thicker
