  2. Quote... then i heard her come out i flicked on the torch to grab her and there he was on his shaking legs looking at me i couldn't believe it now i know some of you are prob thinking he should never come out but this situation was different he had done around 13 hours hard graft in a difficult spot and took the punishment too te You should be happy she stayed that long, there few and far between that will stay for that length of time, dispite what alot might say on here, glad it worked out well
  3. Who needs ANTI 'S when we have cancer like this in our own ranks !!!!! Never been a keen follower of a stab in the back !!!!! Say's a fella that likened dog men to 'drunken oiks roaming the countryside' in a thread about deerstalking being made cheaper.... 2434me , iv got to agree with you there, and as a dog man and keeper that lives about 25 mile from where he stays id also agree that the folk he gets around his are cancers to our sport...
  4. you chap on with the deben then
  5. so if your dog died to ground because you couldnt locate it, and you got the chance of getting it back for 350 quid im sure you would take it, and as that is a impossibility id say that the price of the B&F is more than worth it
  6. some of the best shots iv seen on the hunting forums Stoats are incredible wee critters, i watched one last year rolling a egg up a hill track with its nose, and not just a few feet it went for prob 30ft.. never mind the rabbits being "under the stoats spell" i get so into watching them i sometimes forget what my job entails... The clip on i think autum watch with the stoat moving her young was worth watching too
  7. Grant ur right about the money side, im sure in scotland alone driven shooting brings 200 million per year to our shores, but on the flip side when they were putting the hunting act up, there were big figures printed on how much the local economys would loose if it went through, the high profile and powerfull folk in the hunting scene couldnt stop it either, so i for one wouldnt take it lightly.. In general this country sucks
  8. any clown that pays big money for a dog that when taken out cant jump deserves being shafted by yet another peddler, one word that solves your stupid question is TRIAL
  9. FFS dont buy general grabbers AT tyre, they are shite on wet grass and fill up with mud far too quick
  10. IMO a 10lb carp would be a little too much for a mink, i know how good they are at killing but a fish of that size would certainly be more than a challange for our little invading friend.... my money is on a otter

  16. I wonder the percentages of members of this site and that of ST readers that went out there way to go to the marchs in london to try in vein to stop the ban on hunting with dogs??? id bet both my balls that THL members were very few and far between, the reason for this has been brushed upon in this thread already, this place is FULL of of knobbers that think they know it all, have it all when infact there the bawl bags that cause us more hassel and un wanted attention than the antis do....
  17. Quote what boils my piss is when you get a brave man behind a gun, that says he will shoot your dog if it does it again Well may be the so called brave man who has spent a crazy amount of man hours to produce his birds gets a little pissed that some knob that is unable to control there dog turns a blind eye to it going off on one, when at the wrong time of year only a few visits to a pen could ruin that drive for the full season... what alot dont seam to realise is that no matter what the reason , if we have a bad season our jobs, houses etc etc are on the line, and if folk think that we
  18. a retired nutcase once told meif anybody shoots your dog stick a screwdriver through his neck and if any body says anything just say you were helping him ghange a plug and the stupid c**t slipped. No one from what iv read has said kill the dogs, were just talking about the legalitys of it
  19. The problem arises in there definition of live stock, it must be inside a fenced area before such drastic action can be taken, so poults that are outside the release pen are not covered by the word livestock
  20. this is from BASC, have a read.... there is very little you can do apart from get him to kennel them when there not working... Thanks for the email. This is a rather complex area and one that is frequently misunderstood. In this case it appears, at first sight, that the police might have taken the correct line. You state that the couple’s dog was out of control and took a chicken. This is good, because under the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 chickens would fall under the definition of “livestock†but game would not. However, under the Animals (Scotland) Ac
  21. is that 2nd fish as thin as it looks?? over the last few years the rivers up here in the north east have produced some very skinny specimens... well done
  22. The polecats were quite common in Aberdeenshire when i was in that area for a couple years not to far fae dunecht. I was thinking the stoat/weasle/ferret/hedgehog line as you mentioned the wee holes in head as an owl just crushes & brusess the whole head.
