  1. I too think it's a stupid idea, BUT............ There is NO SPECIFIC legislation that prevents anyone releasing HEALTHY rabbits onto land with the landowners consent. It is not uncommon for gundog trainers to use 'Rabbit Pens' to make their dogs steady on rabbits. They do exactly that, although not as frequently as in years gone by because rabbits are so much more numerous now. This thread seems to turning into the usual THL bollocks, and is a good example of why people don't post so much good stuff on here these days.
  2. Most right thinking folks would think that is is morally irresponsible to release pest species onto land; with or without the permission of the landowner. Right, that's the moral situation sorted, now for the legal situation. There is NO law that prevents the release of HEALTHY rabbits onto land. There is also no such thing as a 'movement order' to relocate wild animals in general. It are, however, laws which prevent the release of a certain species (not rabbits). If anyone wants to argue the point, then please quote relevant and valid legislation, not 'what I was told' nonsen

Given the number of compaints about them you would think they would have gone by now.... The lowest of the low to suggest that IMO.

  4. Crack on my welsh friend.... BUT............ when I see injustice done to fellow forum members, I will act. If that makes it personal, then so be it. I don't like rip off merchants, especially someone like that. That's my opinion, and I'll stick to it. You keep advertising for him, and see how long you retain any respect. As for my original comments on this thread, I stand by them. Every couple of weeks a 'cat' thread appears, and the answers given are similar. You decided to launch an attack on me by your original comment insulting me; I've just pointed out that you are
  5. The fact that you are prepared to carry an advert for someone who has ripped off other forum members is worrying. If he's not your friend, then why do you give him free advertising? A crusade? No. I just don't like people who lie and cheat. Bitter ex-lover? No, I'm not into lardie blokes, or even blokes for that matter. I've not even met the fella, but I know a wrong un when I see one! Do yourself a favour and distance yourself from the fat useless lump of lard. It's making you look silly. Just take a look at some of the recent threads on here about fishfish and cunterh
  6. Yes.... Only a few minutes ago I pm'd the full contact details for your friend fishfish to yet another person who is complaining about non-delivery/dispatch of a catapult order.
  7. I suppose it was time for the fortnightly 'cat thread' Usually, within the first of the inevitable 5-10 pages someone will suggest anti-freeze, I see we've already had the 'let the dogs at 'em comment
  8. What a complete dick. There is more chance of a wasp flying in through an open window and stinging your kids. Are you going to keep them indoors with the windows shut just in case? You were given a good piece of advice about not using expanding foam. You ignored that advice. You were given a good piece of advice about not disturbing the nest. You ignored that advice. You've now blocked the entrance to the nest using foam, when there are likely to be bees still out foraging. They will come home, find out that someone has mucked about with their nest, and be annoyed. Why
  9. Where did I suggest that I 'owned' all bumble bees? He came on, asked for advice, and was given some. Then he starts banging on about his kiddiewinkies as if they are under threat of death FFS... I'll repeat; Bumble bees are harmless, and anyone who is lucky enough to have them in their garden should be pleased and proud. We can't all go around killing everything just because we have an irrational fear. Live and let live. Bumble bees are in serious decline; and without these fantastic polinators we would all be fecked. If he kills them he should be ashamed.
  10. Like I said I'M not bothered but I can't be with my kids every minute........have you got kids? And if you have do you know if they're allergic? Don't worry mate problem will be solved in a hour or two. You really do need to 'man up' as has been advised. You are making a song and dance about your kids; but be realistic; if you are that paranoid then for gods sake don't take them anywhere near any flowering plants at this time of year. Genuine allergy to stings is quite rare, and full on anaphelectic shock is very rare. How did you find out your kids weren't allergic
  11. So I'll ask you again should my kids be stopped playing in there own garden because as you put it Bumble Bee's are lovely animals? And if you took the time to read the whole thread they're in next doors extension and the landlord there said they're not his problem. No, you shouldn't stop your kids playing in the garden... And as for where they are, I don't really see that it makes any difference with Bumbles. Wherever they are it's a privilige to have them. Make the most of that and look after them.
  12. Why do you need to stop your kids going into the garden all summer? The only way a bumble will sting is if you provoke it. I've had them crawling all over my hands and never been stung. Using that principle, you should keep your kids in a plastic bubble mate. There are lots of things they may be allergic to. Well given that you can't tell the difference between a honey bee and a bumble bee I doubt that. For goodness sake stop being silly and leave those harmless bees alone!
  13. If you fill the hole with foam they will work their way out elsewhere (possibly through the ceiling). Bumble bees are lovely animals, and WILL NOT STING unless severly provoked. For goodness sake leave them alone!
  14. If it is bees (and not wasps) leave them alone. You should be teaching your kids about wildlife, and having bees is a great way of doing that. They won't sting unless they are harmed. Letting kids become frightened of bees just because they may sting is as bad as allowing kids to be scared of dogs because they may bite.
  15. Voles don't eat meat, and certainly wouldn't kill chicks If chicks are being killed, it is far more likely to be rats. Bank Voles are harmless.
  16. Got to agree. Not all mice are pests; and cats take a heavy toll on wildlife. Still, he's a nice looking fellow.
  17. Be careful what you suggest; the police are watching this thread and it could potentially lead to other investigations. There are crimes related to conspiracy and threatening behaviour. Edit posts rather than causing other problems.... Keep it on track people
  18. Whatever you say Is it possible for you to right the word 'to' ?? How hard is it?? :wallbash: Right the word, or write the word Now i have had no dealings with fishfish either way, there appear to have been a few little niggles about service but also some good feedback, all i'd say as outsider looking in is that a couple of poor revues about customer service and quality and personally i'd be looking elsewhere , i was disgusted and taken in by a kennel company on here and once bitten and all that............... PMSL (oops! txt talk!) genuine typo there fellas. It

  20. He's quite within his rights to complain on here. He's already tried contacting via ebay, and has received no reply. Good on him for letting others know about poor customer service. Forewarned is forearmed. There have been plenty of threads on here about the same thing. Just do a search. I see that fishfish hasn't visited THL for some time. He has however, been busy on his own forum. Have you tried emailing him direct? Here's an email address: enquiries@huntercatapults.co.uk I'm sure he will sort the issue out in his own time; but it's not the first time, and it wo
  21. You can use a stronger mix in the summer months, but don't put too much in during the winter months as it gets too thick when it's cold
  22. Spot on I think it was the OP that over-reacted, NOT the horse owner.... One person threatens to shoot another persons pet because it was potentially causing harm to their pet, and gets threatened with his LIFE. Lets put this into perspective; no animal is worth the life of a person, and threats of this nature should be taken seriously by the law. If you don't already have a SGC or FAC, you will never get one now - and quite rightly so. It's all very well saying what you think the effect of your dog on the horse was or is, but you obviously know feck all about horses.
