  1. Don't ye just love some parents? Just look at her comment: Why is it up to the government? Surely the child was her responsibility?
  2. There is a very funny thread here: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/229243-i-need-to-get-rid-of-at-least-6-foxes/page__pid__2400426__st__30#entry2400426
  3. What is really funny is that Andrew has a link to a website in his signiture. Have you actually looked at that site Andrew? It clearly shows damage (including stock killing) on the first page! I'm happy to accept that you haven't experienced stock damage by foxes yourself Andrew (in your vast farming experience of seven years), but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Andrew your attitude on this thread stinks. You seem to think that you know better than some very experienced long time contributors, which is a big mistake. Perhaps you should use the advice you gave 'nod' an
  4. Hmmm, so this wasn't you then? Note the words "I am applying for my shotgun certificate for the first time". So you are a liar, as well as an idiot. :hmm:
  5. What a complete dick. OK, so you've never experienced losses by foxes - lucky you - but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I've been around a while, and I can assure you that it does happen - I've seen it with my own eyes. Why you feel the need to post such utter crap on here, and throw around quite so many insults is beyond me. You are just the type of member that is driving the good posters off this forum; lets face it, you are 25 years old, and have quite obviously only been into field sports for a short period of time. There was a wise old saying, "better to keep your mo
  6. Can you tell us all just how you protect free range livestock from foxes? And as for your comment on foxes never taking sheep, there is plenty of evidence and first hand accounts of foxes taking lambs and ewes given half a chance (for example when they are stuck in brambles, or on their backs).
  7. Aye. . . but he'd bought a bloody ticket! Would you have said, ok sir, well i did actually buy a ticket, but there seems to have been some mix up, so i will just toddle a long now and jump off the train, sorry for the hassle??? 'No respect for authority' Since when is respect for 'authority' a good thing If he had a valid ticket then he had plenty of opportunity to produce it when asked. That whole situation probably started quite a long time before someone started filming. And btw, most people think that a healthy respect for authority is a good thing. It's what soc
  8. Why? If he's 19 then he's old enough to vote, and therefore old enough to take responsibility for his own actions. You can call him a teenager if you like; but he probably considers himself a man, and while I accept that some folks mature late, in the eyes of the law he's an adult, and therefore a man. I would have hated for my dad to bleat to the press making excuses for me when I was 19.
  9. All this talk about a 'kid' and the 'lad', what we are talking about here is a 19 year old MAN. He had no respect for the conductor, as could be seen by his attitude. He had no respect for the other passengers, as could be heard by his language. He had no respect for authority, as could be seen when he refused to leave the train. OK, the chap that helped the conductor by ejected the man ended up by chucking him onto his head; but the whole situation was caused by the man refusing to leave the train when asked to do so.
  10. It does indeed make you wonder..... I went to London to try and save hunting. If I thought for a minute that I was marching to give people the right to wander around at night shooting pheasants off their roosts then I may have reconsidered going; and I don't think I'd be alone in thinking that. Unless you are using a new identity then you've only been here a few months. I can remember 7 or 8 years ago on here when there was a nice community of fairly literate people. These days it just seems to be numpties like you who can hardly string a sentence together.
  11. You are wrong. Plenty of folks have been prosecuted for taking game at night. No matter what the farmer thinks of the neighbouring estate, you commit an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 if you 'take' game birds at night. And as for there being 11 of you with access to your computer, you keep on dreaming. If they want you, they'll get you one way or another. There have been plenty of cases of people on this forum getting the 'early morning call', and pages of this forum have been used in evidence against them. As I said earlier, this thread is a sad reflecti
  12. My head is a long way from my arse.... I'm just going on the original post: Which clearly says 'nite' (which we can presume means 'night'). I've nowt against anyone taking a bird or two for the pot, but FFS use what little brains you have and keep quiet about it. Coming on here to brag about it and rub the noses of others who may rely on pheasants for their living is taking things too far IMO. I also think that a few contributors to this part of the forum need to realise that putting incriminating evidence up on here is about as stupid as you can get.
  13. Yeah, yeah..... whatever. You'll be trying to tell us next that Win is on University Challenge next week!
  14. Yes it is. Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. It is an offence to 'take' any game bird at night. 'Night' is defined as the period of time one hour before sunset to one hour after sunrise. Permission or no permission, what he has done is illegal, and the fact that he's come onto an internet website that ranks highly on google, and is visable by anyone at any time means that he's not very bright.
  15. This thread is typical of what is wrong with THL these days. Some dick has come on with incriminating evidence of his own illegal activities, with the sole intention of gloating and somehow making himself look good. When all the usual suspects come out with the same old rubbish along the lines of "only the rich shoot" and "driven shooting is easy or somehow not sporting" and the whole thing degenerates into the usual shooting v dog work bollocks. And while all this is happening, anyone can read this without even logging on. I expect that the whole thing has been copied and several
  16. I agree, but is this the right place for it? There are plenty of websites for political discussion on the www, I think THL is the wrong place for it. But hey ho! I know nothing. I'm off to log out now, so that I don't get drawn into any more 'debate'. I'll enjoy watching this (and other threads) as a guest for the time being.
  17. LMAO.........but seriously, do you think that that child (and the others on the tram) should be subjected to that language and behaviour? You talk about the 'right' to have children, but what about the responsibility? As I'm childless (having lost three children), I view the ability to have children as a privilidge, not a right. I know that puts me in the minority, but I have that opinion based on my own experiences. I have no sympathy for her or her opinions. As far as I'm concerned, if the authorities wanted to kick out her and her ilk, and keep the working black woman then I'd
  18. A racist is someone who believes that one race is superior to any one race or all other races. Just because you might believe that a train full of passengers might all be immigrants doesnt make you a racist. Take a trip to london sometime, go on the tube then come back on here and say you didnt think that 99% were not immigrants. It wouldnt make you a racist if you did. well im defo a racist.i consider myself superior to any of them lot Which 'lot', and why?? Just what makes you better? Your obvious tollerant nature? Your strong christian faith? Or could it be your
  19. Who says? I am not going to argue about religions, but if you go to court in this country, they dont make you swear on the koran do they? YET They give you the choice of religious text on which to swear.
  20. Well, I've now watched the video in full..... As I suspected, some mad bitch rants and raves about the tram being full of 'blacks' who can't possibly be british because they are black. Says it all really. And she's allowed to breed.......... frightening.

  22. Who says? You? No, take a look. We are not a Christian country although most of the people living here may call themselves 'Christians' (when it suits them). I think you will find that officially, we are not a christian nor a secular nation. We are (and have been for over 300 years) a country of mixed religion, with laws and customs based around the christian faith. Oh, and I see little Christian spirit on THL.
  23. That's just my point. Just because someone doesn't look and sound like you doesn't mean that they are immigrants does it? I've spent plenty of time in London (Tottenham amongst other places) and I do rea
  24. Again, why do you presume that they are all muslims or foreigners? And for the record, our grandparents where joined by many other nationalities and religions to fight nazism, which by was a system that said that one type of person was somehow better than others. I don't see much difference in Hitler killing millions of people just because they were Jewish (or gypsies), and people today suggesting that all muslims are evil and anyone of asian origin is bad. One of the 'freedoms' that we fought for in WW2 was the freedom to follow whichever religion we choose. And for the record, t
