  2. The Turnstones and Lapwings on page 2 are what I went down there to see, both amazing birds. I took a video of the Turnstones and you can see them feeding, plucking food out of the seaweed on the rocks...very cool There are loads of Oystercatchers here, they're almost getting boring. That place is a nesting ground for Sandwich Turns, they'll arrive in a month or two and are a sight (and sound!) to see. I saw them last year, they were feeding off the eels in the bay, every bird that flew past was carrying on in it's beak.
  3. If it wasn't for idiots like Corbyn and Abbot the left may have stayed in control, as much as they are annoying they are now OUR useful idiots

  12. We moved in in the middle of October and have used 1400 litres so far and I've got another 800 coming tomorrow. This time I am going to put marks on the tube for measuring so I can work out a rough % we use. Since we've had it serviced and we know it was running bad before maybe we'll get better efficiency. I don't think that's bad, I noticed we only use approx 500 litres through the summer and the rest in the colder months.Do you have a room thermostat or is thermostat build into boiler. We where using a lot more oil until we had a room thermostat fitted. Yeh it's one of those older

  19. Have you any access to timber or turf mate?...........I disconnected my oil burner totally and everyone thought I was mental, i am lucky enough however to own 2 bits of bog and a wood so I am totally self sufficient in heating. Spent some money on a modern little range that will heat upto 20 radiators and now my only utility bill is electric. If you can get the timber cheap enough then getting off the oil or gas is the way forward mate I'd love to do that, because we had a combi I couldn't have the woodburner tied in to the heating system at the time. Not sure how practical it wo

I don't think there's loads of them here (not like in places like Lincolnshire) although I might be wrong so I'm just happy to see them. Love the pic with the Hare sat next to the dog as well lol
  22. Thanks for all the advice sounds like we're going to be better off with just replacing it, we can get an external one in that case and free up some space, I'll get the engineer back, he seemed like a decent guy and worked hard. Eye watering bills!
