The EU is living on borrowed time, It will not exist in current form in 2-3 years maybe/probably totally collapse. I kinda like the idea of a bicameral system but I can't help but feel it's redundant. The implementation of the Lords, and the Senate for that matter, was to ensure the wealthy were represented more strongly in the democratic system to stop the common folk damaging the country by being short sighted. If we elect the parliamentarians of the upper house, then how is that any different to just having a single house, unicameralism? How do mothers in syria differ from mothers in the UK? Are they made different? Most of the 3 million so called refugees were fighting age males and most were not from Syria. We could have temporarily helped a few thousand genuine refugees (the very young, old and women) but instead the loonies that run the asylum let in hundreds of thousands of potentially very dangerous people. It's an absolute disgrace what the lords have done. Tebit is spot on but after years of Labour and the Lib Dems cramming the Lords full of liberals they effectively have set up a sleeper cell to restrain any right wing government we might get. Maybe we should have another election now, the Tories (who I don't trust) would wipe the floor with Labour and the Limp Dems, maybe UKIP could get some seats as well and the right would have absolute power especially if they did something to change how the Lords works... Would the US equivalent the senate work better?

Yes I think you have hit the nail on the head, she attended the police station voluntarily, didn't have a solicitor because she didn't think she'd done anything wrong and then accepted the prosecution because she couldn't afford a solicitor. When you are not used to interacting with the police it is quite frightening when you are being targeted by them, I feel sorry for the woman.

I agree 100% and also old houses had chimneys and windows that weren't totally sealed like today, it allowed moist air to circulate out of the house. If anyone has sold a house recently and the buyer paid for a home buyers survey you might have been surprised to get told you have rising damp, yet most likely it isn't and they are just detecting moisture on the walls because of poor ventilation.

Great video, worth remembering the pollution mentioned, it wasn't all roses back then. The tributaries to the Mersey where I used to live were absolutely dead and lifeless when I was a kid, now they have brown trout in them and they've found Salmon parr in the Mersey. I grew up reading books of men tickling trout and dreaming of catching a good brownie or sea trout on the fly....the stocked lakes really spoiled the anticipation of fishing for me. One of my most memorable fish was probably only a 3/4 Lb wild brownie I caught when we had a weeks fishing near Lockerbie when I was a kid. I was

MY mate has a Spaniel which started fitting. The vets couldn't find an answer to the problem. He discovered if he fed it high protein food and drizzled some honey or syrup it stopped it happening and she hasn't had one since, I think the fits happened when she was working so maybe not the same problem but I thought I would pass it on anyway. I worked a few jobs of Great Yarmouth, we had a helicopter come in and drop off some flat pack stuff.
