Yep that's how I felt...I started out thinking I'd be raging. By the way White Dee was the most intelligent of the lot of them....she used to work and got caught scamming from the council where she worked in admin lol. She's the most criminal of all of them, had a job had a man had kids and f**ked it all up through greed. Most of the rest of them made me feel sad but i only watch one episode

Dropbox is good, I just got a new samsung and I got 50 gig free for a year. If you start off with the free dropbox you can set up a bunch of fake email addresses and invite them all to dropbox and get quite a bit of free storage

My wife's a vegi. Her step father took pleasure in telling her she was eating one of the bullocks they'd named. He signed his own death warrant doing that and she became a full on vegan which must have made their lives hell in the 1980s before it was common place, some people are squeamish especially eating something they've looked after but taking the mick or being insensitive is very likely to push them in to the vegi camp. That young couple weren't really bad though, they were dumb enough to have kids at a very early age and are now living in a horrible place, their kids don't stand a chance. I thought it was disgusting that the only job they could find him was door to door canvasing. I'd rather he was given his benefits and did something that would get his confidence up, he wasn't the brightest tool in the box but surely they could have got him something better than that?

I finally watched it last night. I thought some of the people were tragic, the girl without her front teeth lost her son, and the young family who were really kids with kids....not a clue how to raise children and the young lad finally tried to get a job and they made him do canvasing which is a sh*t sole destroying job (I did it for a few years) and he didn't even earn any money. It wasn't quite what I expected although they must have lept for joy when they got that White Dee as their main star. I'd give it a whirl to be honest. The oil industry is booming by the looks of it and there's jobs everywhere so you could most likely get back in after a break.

I thought as much, the odds of a regular rotation are slim to zero with wireline unless things have changed but they do tell people that to get them in. Schlum had guys doing 7 on 2 off and some of them had to go in to the office during their time off plus live in Aberdeen I used to do the north sea but I found 2 weeks off wasn't enough between hitches, it took a few days to relax and I would start getting wound up a few days before going away which only left a few quality days and the stress was doing me in so I went overseas...well they say be careful for what you wish for I got more t

The problem with that 6 months holiday as many people see it is it's 90% useless having time off when your family, friends, kids are all at work and school. Often you end up sitting round the house or doing things on your own. It's a very lonely life style I've found especially as all your mates do the same job and are scattered around the world and you don't get to socialise with people who understand what it's like. There is nothing more annoying that being constantly told how lucky you are having all that time off by people who don't have a clue. While the grass might always seem greener on

I worked overseas for most of my working life. My last overseas job was in Libya, I hated it because I was stuck in the office with the kind of people that work in offices...complete tossers. I got laid off when the revolution started there and luckily got out just days before it kicked off. I went self employed and have been working for the same client for nearly 3 years now. I work mostly from home but generally work a lot more days than when I was on a rotation.
