  1. Completely normal by the way but cool never the less There's plenty of active faults in the UK and offshore. http://www.earthquakes.bgs.ac.uk/earthquakes/home.html
  2. ' yeh that's what my wife heard on the radio , that it had grabbed the baby's head , and at 1 week old the dog might not seen it as a human maybe .? Either way terrible thing to happen, but as ive said it will keep happing for the reasons ive said .! Yeh that's my thought the dog might not be aggressive to have done this, it's prey drive probably just kicked in the same way it would if it found an animal. The dog was there first, suddenly a baby turns up which I can't imagine looks human to a dog. It's just done what it would do to a squeaky toy in my opinion. Everything that
  3. I bought a stair gate for the dinning room so we can stick him in there. He was doing my head in when people would come to visit. He'd get really excited and every guest had their legs properly thrashed by his tail wagging (amazing how strong a labs tail is lol). If other people's kids come round he goes in the dinning room and the kids aren't allowed to play with him unsupervised. There's very little chance he'd bite a child but he's a very strong dog and there's always the chance of an accident or him getting over excited.
  4. It wont until people are educated about the stupidity of leaving a small baby alone with any dog.
  5. I read a book or article about that and they said we were being made more paranoid by the media but that child murder etc was no more common then, than it is now. One thing is for sure there were hardly any kids with type 2 diabetes or overweight 30 years ago.
  6. Even though we had TV there was nothing on in the day time and until computers came out it was simple, you had to make your own entertainment. Also parents were a lot less worried about where the kids were and what they were doing, we were pretty much chucked out the house and left to our own devices. I think most of us would be too scared to let our kids go roaming where ever they pleased nowadays.
  7. This has happened to mine as well
  8. That liquid is also in Asthma medicine so I don't think it can be bad for your lungs. Nicotine on it's own is about as bad for you as caffeine.
  9. Problem I have with e-cigs and vaporisers is that is sets of my asthma worse than the real thing Got to be patches again for me
  10. It still goes further than that, it's common sense not to be a d**k, and just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it. I was driving through a small town not far from here, 20 of them we going up a hill at a snails pace, they should have dropped in to single file so the rest of us could get passed but they didn't and that is the sort of thing that gets right up my nose. I am a cyclist as well, me and the wife almost never ride two abreast
  11. Why in gods name would anyone want one of those things
  12. Unless you wear Lycra while driving your tractor three abreast with 20 of your mates I think you wont get any moans from us lot
  13. look at the arse on that
  14. It's about being considerate. If the road isn't very wide they should be single file regardless of what they are allowed to do.
  15. I don't mind the average cyclist but it's those groups of Lycra clad morons that take over the whole road that get my goat.
  16. With older cars I always think the running costs are going to be higher, my P38 cost me at least a grand a year in parts and servicing. If someone had a jap 4x4 of the same age would they really be spending that much less?
  17. Can't beat one to one We struggle finding time sometimes but we also recruit the grandparents as well. Have to laugh about patience, I got my daughter to do her homework, cleverly asking her to do it on scrap paper first so she didn't make a mess. Went to make her dinner and when I came back she'd written it out on the worksheet as well but in very thick black marker....made me look a right tw*t and got loads of grief off the wife.
  18. It's a bit of a minefield. I ended up buying a Range Rover P38 2001 and like you said there was loads of doom and gloom about them on the internet but it's been the best car I've ever owned. Only problem is feeding the 4.6l V8 engine
  19. I have been outside to shake my fist at the sky....not sure it's worked yet but I'm hoping someone up there (yes you god!) will pay attention.
  20. Aye, sod that, I'd be buying a relatively newly built place tucked away in a smart but quiet country village. 4 bed and absolutely immaculate inside, classy bathroom with huge tub and massive walk-in shower/wetroom, big open fire in master bedroom and log burner in grand fireplace in the lounge. Like I said, I can fantasise...... Yeh plus a good few acres as well....that is my dream. Not even sure what i'd do with it but the thought of no neighbours and a big space to wander around on would be fantastic. Maybe a little strip of river or stream for the brown trout as well.
  21. Why not see if you can get them from an antique shop? That's what I'm thinking about doing.
  22. By a farm and stock it with rabbits and other pest species
  23. buzz kill Ha ha I knew someone would say that
