  1. Its funny lads saying they never got on with the dogs temperament.. I recon the dogs never got on with theirs.. Not all cases but most create the problem and make it worst.. I have seen lads shouting a balling for dogs to come back, then when they finally have, hey then got kicked in the ribs.. Its a no brainer really If its wired up wrong from birth and is a bag of nerves.. Its difficult.. If it was my dog.. I would take it in the van with me all the time.. Let it kip in a crate in the house.. Walk it multiple times a day, in different areas ie around the local

    Canon 400D

Have you gave up or upgraded lol
  3. Baw when/ if your dogs caught as much as mine, you would let them sleep in your bed Oh you don't even have a dog
  4. Course you want a decent coat baw.. If a dogs got a shit coat keeping it out side in sub zero wont improve that... Some people kennels are better and warmer than folks houses Its a olde School mentality "hardening them up"... Yes some will have better coats and adapt to colder climes.. Some wont and you would have to put coats on them.. If your dogs up and about for hours working in all weathers they get used to it.. Its better to bed them down in warm conditions after a hard days graft than to put them out in a draftee cold kennel.. Each to there own.. Mine sleep
  5. Baw Jim from Derby keeps his dogs in the house... His dogs are certainly putting the shifts and the gear away... Its rubbish about dogs shivering.. If they are out grafting and being exposed to the elements regularly. with the right feed and conditioning and built up graft ,under their belts they should not be phased by a bit of sleet and rain..
  6. Some folk recon it makes them Jack  I find you get a good bond with a dog, that gets time in house.. I take mine in the car when I go somewhere, even just to the local shop for milk.. I go for a balance of kennel and house.. House trained / crate trained pups are clean in the kennel.. If injured and they come back into the house they know the rules of the house.. I like them in the house.. Its easier to forget them, when they are at the bottom of the garden in a run.. As they get older they send more time in the kennel but still get time in t
  7. Artic do folks from the saluki clubs not support each other and place pups in good homes, for the favour to be returned years down the line ?? #1 Poacher was some other salukis on there for £350 they looked big healthy pups.. Was young saluki whippet with trial, retrieves to hand £325 in Glouster..
  8. Tidy wee bitch... Goo luck with her
  9. I had one running into stonewalls.. It was jumping six foot plus fences after cats.. It would do a whole street of back gardens.. Once got away, I could hear crash, bang & wallop. People screaming, more crashing. The dog had knocked over someone's BBQ & shamed a green house panel.. It was well behaved until it got into to full flight, then it was unstoppable.. It was a lunatic.. Its injuries were due to it having no self preservation it had some serious pray drive.. Was swimming proper rivers to get to a swan on the other side.. The dog was nothing but stress
  10. I don't like a reckless runner... I had one and its not here now It was 4 years old and went out less than 12 times.. Rest of its time in was laid up with some crazy injury.. I was out lamping with two old steady runners the other night.. Both 9/10 they have lost pace and stamina, but anything that they got spinning, ended up in the trays at the game dealers.. Reckless dogs have short working careers or life's even
  11. Its a cracking looking wee dog..
  12. Foresterj do you know the winning lottery numbers, for this coming Saturday please mate ??
  13. Socks will you need a body guard ??
  14. Send it to me to try then please Snipper
  15. Good pics them Sandy... Surprized you get rabbits sitting out on the sand.. What are they eating seaweed ?? Or are they in dunes with grass and panic and run out onto the sand ?? My pals ran a few foxes on the beaches pre ban.. Can hit stoney patches tho and its dodgy on the feet..
  16. Some lads dont use the poles. Some lads prop them on the gates with stones, sounds a right feck about.be nightmare in dark. Thought you could use fishing weights fixed to net. Heavy enough to hold them in place but light enough to purse with quarry hitting the net. I aint tired it but think it could work.
  17. I made one out of ply & mesh front. Miles cheaper mate. On my phone but can fire a pic on tomorrow. If you want a idea.
  18. Cut hazel. Make a slight groove, the top line props on that. Folk do it different but that works for me. You get different ones if its to purse you dont want it fixed on poles. If its like a stop net thats fair enough. I am no expert either.
  19. I would get a lurcher.. More chance of getting what you want. Succsess rate could be much less going with a pure grey.. But nothing guaranted with dogs.
  20. Poor lad, bet he is sick as f**k... Thieving b*****ds want their legs broken..
