I feed my 8/10 hrs before going.. I once fed about 6pm and went at 12. The dog was not running right and banged a toe.. When I was driving home it spewed and it had not digested the food from that evening.. Glad it banged a toe or it could of got bloat.. Do you just feed a small meal Jim ?? I used to scramble 2 eggs and a splash of milk, but I don't even do that now. Mine would not eat banana, they wont eat apple cores or cooked carrots, mixed in the grub they spit them out.

I have never ran on big fen land.. Would more coursing dogs collapse if they have had a few good runs, then get on the back of a grueler, before the handler got it back on the slip ?? Its easy to spot a dog tiring - had enough on rabbits.. What do all the coursing lads do ??

Aye I feed mine before I go out Bird.. Go out at midnight and give them there full feed at midday.. Will feed them a full feed again on return.. Feed them plenty of meat and ground fat during season

I run them hard,rub them down & grub them up at home. Some lads give soup or small amounts of food. Some give electrolites, i dont do either. Each to there own. Some lads never leave the house with out a mars bar

Aye it does your head in when you have permission and folk start giving you a hard time.. Its happened a few times to me.. One Old c**t shouting "the farmer wont be happy with your sort walking all over" .. I felt like saying "what sort are you referring to", but I just bite my lip just incase, the old c**t was bezzy mates with the landowner..

No mate.. Its Big Ears.. He posted some pictures of Beddy crosses, crossed with coursing stock.. Two cream wooly smallish types.. Looked the dogs balls.. I would like one in my kennels Have to be in a few years goy my hands full at the moment Thata tidy Jukle tho mate, hows that bred ??

I can see your points Sandy.. I am willing to just to give it a whirl... I totally see your point and you have evidence based research.. Some of these lads have witnessed benefits to themselves and there dogs.. I will give it a blast and let yous know.. To be fair I am 50/50.. NHS do use Holistic therapies and treatments that have Psychological effects on subjects

I will buy one and try it on my old dog.. Will get back to you about the results. I will stop giving it supplements and use this as a stand alone therapy.. Will buy a collar, I cant afford a mag box

Life long Cumbrian , how do you train them not to go to ground ?? Instinct can and will just kick in surely ?? I have had rabbiting terriers and I don't know if it was more luck than anything but I never had problem.. There were bits where I knew earths and sets where I would avoid them or lead up.. I had a little black un for rabbits, it flushed a few foxes from seed beds and would scream on scent .. My mate always wanted to try it in a earth but I did not want to start with digging its not my thing. I started worrying about that dog and collared it up..

Not sure if it was Bigliks or Bigears that had pictures of a beddy cross put to coursing stock.. Dogs looked smashers and from what he said were multi purpose.. Depends what your after tho.. It might just be easier to buy a pup in

Will need more than a weeks rest FFS If its dislocated, at least 10 wks no running.. Get a x-ray then you know what your dealing with or take dog to a bone man
